it's actually ringing the opposite bell for me. i wouldn't expect scum to openly admit that they care how they look. i'd think most scum that aren't completely new would be aware that saying that can come off suspicious and avoid doing it, unless it's some sort of wifom play relying on the expectation that people will use the logic i'm using here.

once I played in a game where the scumpair got an idea that during d1 they'll hold a big, whole page conversation, not really a meaningful exchange, just enough appear quite active and to "not hurt reach other" too much

I got such vibes from page 13

a matter to observe

especially since I don't really know what conclusions arised from that Drew/Leaf discussion, seemed like a banter and nobody even commented on it

This feels like a secondary reason that Drew wanted to have that conversation with me and another supplementary reason as to why I backed away from it

something does seem off with this post now that you mention it. the "if i had to pick one of my townleans to be a scumlean" phrasing is a bit weird. i know i've thought, "if i'm wrong on one of my townreads it's X," and, "i'm least confident in X being town," but this reads differently from that. the trying to make a townlean into a scumlean feels artificial.

I don't see what's the difference in these different ways to say the same thing. They all boil down to "I think x but if I'm wrong then it's Y". Maybe it's the engineer/programmer thing?

I get that you'd notice Leek's post given it's about you, but where does the leap from that to pairings come from? I took Abnegation's comment to be about Leek's general presence.

meh, i could be grasping at straws here. they are pretty much the same thing, just different ways of looking at it. the way you phrased it felt oddly forced because i don't get why you would feel like you'd need to pick one of your townleans to be a scumlean. or am i misunderstanding your intention with that statement?

I said that because Arky didn’t really say anything at all before they got replaced by Nono. Geraintm was on Camel’s case for wanting to vote people without much reasoning yet earlier they didn’t want to explain their vote, so that felt a bit hypocritical to me. KittyTacky felt like they were trying to figure out people’s motivations.

After rereading their ISOs again, I’d probably change my answer slightly. Before I said that KittyTacky was the worst choice, but now I’d go further and say that Geraintm is the best choice from those options.

Arky might not have said much, but if they got replaced out of the game then they were probably just busy with real life stuff or something so their lack of activity was NAI. Geraintm seems to be tunneling Camel but I not sure I believe that they believe in what they’re saying. Why not move your vote to Camel and pressure them if you feel like they’re being opportunistic?

Actually any secondary or tertiary reason for wanting to engage with you was to try to get others to comment on Flavor Leaf, not your choice of memeing on D1 here.

Hasn't really gone how I thought, and now I realize I need to listen to my own advice from Utopia and not try to sort you on D1, and it let you organically speak town or scum to me. Though I will say that I don't think you are approaching me in good faith, but you will show more of a scummy side if my gut ping is correct.
