you need covalent bonds, NOW!
yeah thats right, you are an atom of carbon, and you... don't have an alignment? YET.
each player has a random number of valence electrons from 5 to 7 (5 = nitrogen, 6 = oxygen, 7 = fluorine) and is informed of what atom they are / how many valence electrons they have. you, however, have 4 valence electrons. each player also gets a
bond
night ability described as:
IF you do not have an octet of valence electrons, you may target a player and hood them. this action WILL fail if the person you targetted has an octet of valence electrons. you will make a certain type of bond depending on who has the most valence electrons, and are informed of the type of bond.
if there is a max of 7 valence electrons, then you form a single bond, giving you both one valence electron
if there is a max of 6 valence electrons, then you form a double bond, giving you both two valence electrons
if there is a max of 5 (or less) electrons, then you form a triple bond, giving you both three valence electrons.
if more than one bond is targetted at a player, the player with the most valence electrons takes precedence, and then the bonds resolve until one cant (due to a full octet). if there's a tie then whoever is higher in the player list, i guess.
you win with whoever you form the strongest bond with. if it is tied, then its the first person of those who are tied that you formed a bond with that you share a win condition with. after you have an octet of valence electrons OR you have made a triple bond, then you learn the faction or win condition of the person you win with
