this is a game where scum knows town will likely have guns as well

and not dying as scum is actually more valuable then one extra kill usually especially when town vig shots will also be hitting town sometimes to compensate

The BP is very situational and very narrow where as a gun is something you will always get value out of. Not to mention guns just provide more dopamine than roses so you will have players just do it for the dopamine. It happens more often than you think in some card games.

the dopamine thing is also easier to suppress when you have teammates potentially able to come up with a more solid plan
the fact we only have four guns suggests to me it was likely just mostly town

no sorry I disagree you are probably thinking about what's optimal where as I'm thinking about what it is people actually do and people actually just pick gun.

Being able to kill more people is very good and punishing players for not being a rose on the night you're shooting them on is very good

This game would probably be different if Enchant and Wheme were actually town picking gun and behaving in ways that are actually town. If the players felt townie, I would have probably kept my mouth shut about being a gun.
Wheme is distinctly not townie so they get flipped. If they flip town I won't feel bad because flipping Wheme is a very effective way to read Wheme in this gamestate. Townflip will still be valuable to me.
Enchant I dislike based on how they leveraged their claim. I think their play has a lot of wolf!motivation behind it. It can come from town, but the fact they're playing this way demands that they get flipped.

But I think I have many townreads that are just better. I still have a bunch of players I have no read on yet, but I can focus on reading those players once I get Wheme and Enchant flipped, as flipping both of those will make solving a lot easier for me in the future.

I was voting Cakez because I wanted to give the Enchant/Wheme situation some space but that post from early on about clearing Wheme makes Enchant a lot more sus + Alisae claiming N1 gun alleviates the need to leave Enchant to shoot Wheme

If you're a N1 rose you don't get cleared for it btw. I have no idea why you would ever pick N1 rose as town so you pretty much always die the next day.
