In post 1783, Dannflor wrote: uh meuh is the slot in the game I would classify the most as "trying to get town read." I think the implosion case was kind of out of place in a way that I don't really understand why town Meuh got to the point where they felt confident enough in the read to make such a huge case. When I read the case I also don't get the sense meuh is genuinely that confident about it. Mandate said something like it being a bunch of reasons as to why implosion could be scum, and it's for that reason I don't really understand the town!meuh headspace where she felt the need to suddenly hard case implosion
It's not a hard case though
Taly asked a question, asking for examples of Implo's townreads being bad. I was like "hey Implo's ISO is like 90% not reads, I can just do every town read" and then I just did that
Came out of it with substantial overarching feelings that I then shared through that post
I guess like it's de facto a case but idk it was never that to me, it was answering that question with some ideas that came through along with it

In post 1783, Dannflor wrote: alisae I think is likely to be scum by PoE and the fact that e's had to keep making excuses about why eir not in the thread instead of just bearing that with confidence. im thinking back to Swinger's Hall where Alisae lost motivation very quickly once a town block formed and this feels like a similar scenario.
okay so this just so happens to catch my eye and a thought popped up.
I have been actively lurking and I probably could have caught up while the thread was like 35 or like 45 pages. I choose not to at that time because I thought "it would be fun to see many pages I could possibly get away doing this." I'm definitely sciencing here.
However I do like skim the thread occasionally when I wake up and I do see and understandable hear people going "Ali really needs to post." I understand that by this point in the game my perspective is going to be REALLY REALLY important and I do need to get into the game, not to mention I also WANT to get into the game and play it. If I didn't want to play the game I probably would not have signed up.
I have been messing around with treating mafia on low priority because quite frankly I almost failed senior year of high school because I only played this and it sucked so much time away from me. I have other things I wanna do now.

Anyway my point is, do you think it is specifically wrong of me to think & post "okay, maybe today I can actually catch-up with this game and get into it" while still keeping it on low prio and then do the things I want to do and suddenly I just don't rly have time for it? I could also just not post at all or blatantly prod dodge. Would this be more acceptable than saying "guys I'm going to play maybe tomorrow" and then "I'm going to play today frfr" and then "Guys I thought I could do this today I can't I apologize." Because I think giving everyone else that is playing an idea of when I will get into the game is more honorable than just blatantly prod dodging. Blatantly prod dodging just gives off the impression that I do not care and I think we can both agree that that is just objectively worse?

Like Mandate is right, I have reasons why I have not gotten into the game.
They're not good reasons, but they are reasons.

uh tbh i think promises to catch up that are not fulfilled are more likely to come from scum

i think scum are more conscious about not being around

i don't think it's *wrong* of you if you're town but I'd expect if you were intentionally lurking to not care about the optics so much

regardless i'd rather you focus on literally any other part of the game than this lol

Hey all.

So I'm Town and got sent here through the link.

At work currently and will be looking through the game soon. If you all could give me any highlights that'd be great. I'm not planning to read all 70+ pages because that's unreasonable.

I'll just quote what i told Ydrasse but replace the respective predecessors.
In post 1781, Sakura Hana wrote: I guess the most important things of note, Meuh made a case against implosion, implosion responded, Mandate called it the scummiest post ever and went against Meuh, I sheeped him, then your predecessor stated a scumread on implo, Mandate and Dann, then Mandate exploded, argued with your predecessor, things escalated and both replaced out.

And Alisae has been absent the entire game.

There's other things that have happened but those are the ones i have the most fresh on my memory.
In post 1791, Sakura Hana wrote: And for the majority of the game we've struggled to find scum, so I literally wanted anything that could help guide my vote, hence the sheeping.
I bloom in spring?
Please be nice to me.

idk you have a kind of attitude that rears its head in certain places that i feel fairly confident comes from town more often

one instance i can recall is when i came back into the thread and asked ari a question and then fell asleep, and then you got on my case about not caring about the wagon on me and wondering why i didn't care about other things in the game

I've see you sort of leap to assumptions at least a couple other places in the game

and it feels towny the way I think you're first reaction to some things is a little uncharitable (I'm not saying this is bad or a bad way to play the game), when as scum you'd know people's alignments to be town and i think be more inclined to interpret things charitably

Ou yeah you're right

I am pretty brazen and typically unself-conscious about it.

I TMI townies much more as scum and do not have the same grip, but take that as a grain of self-meta salt.

Because I get the impression you have the propensity to be aggressive when you have control and a well-reasoned push to project as scum. I could be entirely off base. But it's why if you'd have this much tolerance of me as scum.
