Yes. It takes 6 people to vote out a player. There are 10 players alive. If everyone but you, the player, and your 3 strongest townreads are voting a player, does it make sense to vote that player? If the townreads are correct, who is at least one scum voting?
It makes sense but its a bad practice. a proper mafia team will always have one of their people go deep.

If StD is scum, I think Firebringer is still a decent scum contender but in the scenario you described where you're shot/I'm dead, I'll sheep you.
There's other options like T3 but I've given up there due to lack of support.
So wait, the scenarios are:
You are right and I am wrong; we win the game
I am right and you are wrong; we do my thing in day 4 and probably win the game
We are both wrong; we are actually in agreement as to what to do in this scenario

At some point it does become hard for very good, or at least, very forceful and analysis-heavy town players to play together. I don't think reading into the gamestate is very helpful due to this/
