also that is exactly what bell was saying there so lol. reread the post newb
I read into subtext
its not like bell can just tell me "i'm town" and expect me to believe him
subtext is the MOOD of the person making the post and reading into that mood makes me feel that he doesn't expect me to townread him because he knows he's mafia

"I can't even look at the game anymore.
That evil teddy bear has got everyone twirling by his thumb.
It's like witnessing an slow but unavoidable train crash you can't stop."
Part of my play is to be town read and I’m aware of what looks townie, if I trip what I consider a bell scum tell because of life circumstances, I’m not going to immediately fault you for it.
But I will fault you for it if you don’t change your mind as I post more~
Is it expected to go read the prior games of players before playing with them?
No but also yes. I don't typically bother to read past games (but if I've played with someone before, I'll have an idea), but it can help you get a sense of a player's playstyle and personality.

But doesn't this not work given a player is aware of their own past more so than anyone else? I can begrudgingly accept the vibes approach, even if to me it feels like a complete waste of mental energy. Is it expected to go read the prior games of players before playing with them?
Thus is the beauty of this game imo. Lots of us in this game have played a bunch of games together, of varying alignments, so we all know what we are all capable of, and how we react to certain situations.....which is kinda what you are witnessing in regards to Bell.
Also, I for one am a big vibes and tone player, mech and 'optimal play' can be manipulated easily by a decent player, hard to manipulate vibe and tone though.
And it isn't a terrible idea to read previous games, but there is a good mix of a few more mech players in this game that will cut through the shit posting of FireBringer and I lol......and you may even pick up a good vibe read
'dREW DID IT BETTER' - T-Bone
'doctor drew our hero' - Shiki
'I love playing with him, he's got an amazing presence to him that just feels like the game is lacking something when he's not there' - JacksonVirgo

No. I detest meta myself. It's more of my way of reaching out to players with different styles than me and learning. Right now my reads are based off tone, which is my weakest part.
Some parts of a player's personality are near immutable. For instance, I am a mama hen to those I see as on my side usually and try to work with them but not at the expense of my truth. A rare exception is bussing and that usually comes with a warning.
I can logic my way out of almost anything given enough data.

I thought it was to claim late D1
too early and it is indistinguishable from a traitor claiming miller, too late and you risk a red check
So you post [Citation needed.] and then they do actually give examples, in Defcon and in a hydra game where you have exhibited this behavior as not town. Your response is to claim everybody does it which is immediately refuted. It seems like you're the one who needs to show their citations, otherwise it seems that you are just mafia here.

They claim at the start of the day. I wouldn't discount a claim at the end of the day but I've never seen that happen. In any case Bell is not claiming miller and seems to want responses to their claim, so claiming at the end of the day makes no sense.
Hey Joyboy, you voted for LadyTerminallyOffline, and when asked about it by several people you transitioned to this weird all caps roleplay and ignored them.

you know what your argument makes sense
I still don't view the claim as particularly towny but I see the reason behind the claim now
your pushes are good so I kind of think you are town based on early Day 1 standards

I have three people on the "I should be paranoid" list.
FB (but they're doing a good job), Dunn, and Laplacian.
I literally dunno which ones, if any are scum.
I'm still confused on TL's "I lean scum on this person for this claim" and their later "I think we should be cautious of such claims!"
Which are two different stances.
