if anyone also has some feedback on setup/roles and balance.
I advertised this game as explicitly not balanced because of how Cid role could make things swingy.

I had ideas to include additional power roles into the game besides those ones from Cid but was convinced not to do that to remove additional swing.

The idea of this game centered around Cid power role as you can imagine with a few scum powers that wasn't tied to specific player so they wouldn't get auto screwed if none of them got powers and town started coordinating hard.

In hindsight I think the Goddess Trial made the game too unfun, I wanted scum to use it with one of their own but I wasn't going to limit them to forcing a scum inside it.

For those not aware, all flavor was completely randomized after alignments were decided (except Cid- Alisae role). So alignment did not equal flavor at all. I had the original mechanic in for identities because I thought it fit the theme of game to hide yourself in the shadows. It was removed in pregame because I thought it was a hassle to enforce and didn't want to deal with any rules lawyering over it and alignment =/= flavor at all to begin with so forcing a penalty on players seemed silly since it also didn't come with any reward for doing so.

I also don't agree with tampering with last wills as "mod lies" or "bastard" as others pointed out, last wills isn't a normal mechanic in mafia scum so there is no expectations of privacy in them. If last wills were widely used I can see an argument for it being bastard if scum can't touch them normally. That being said, I think giving some kind of information that it was possible might have been a bit more prudent.

I like what happens if Cid gets targeted by this and it seems like the reason why Cid was able to come back was a defense mechanism for this exact thing.

The only other regret I have is not pushing for my own elim before the 2 guilties

My main thought is that only getting two actual mislims before ELo with four scum is kind of annoying. I know both alignments had some luck here but I feel like town's PR hits are like the main reason we stood a chance.

I don't feel that bad though because I signed up for this not expecting balance as per your advertisement

i don't think penguin's towniness was the problem because i did find him as town when it mattered. it would've been nice if he gave less weight to dead people's reads and listened to what i had to say, no matter how annoying i may have been (and i admit i may have been annoying. sorry about that).
