like black asked me why i town read jupiter and im pretty sure i described all the reasons i had to town read jupiter in the thread already

i could like do a really close cross-game comparison about why i think the way jupiter is outing reads this game seems subtly different from the way he outed reads last game but blah I am not yet confident enough on the read to really do that and it's mildly annoying to reiterate the same other reasonings ive already put in thread like I don't think Jupiter would want to push me as scum immediately after last game but black just hasn't engaged with that

i explain it more in later posts but i can try again assuming you've read those and don't get what i mean

the model i was working with was of a scum!tris who is trying to appear towny and is self-conscious and aware about the ways that she isn't always succeeding at doing so. i felt like this mindset was leaking into her posts and actions a bit

so when i called this out, i thought that if my model was correct, scum!tris would already be aware of the thing i was calling out (by definition) and may be quick to explain it away or appease or something like that. my expectation was that i would be met with that type of smooth and clean response and i was ready to read it and try to judge if it felt more like a scum one or a town one. instead the confusion was a little jarring

her initial response being what i read as slightly snarky toned posts that felt like to me they clearly didn't understand what i was getting at (and then further elaboration that made it more clear she didn't see what i was seeing in her own posts) i think shows that my model of what her potential scum mindset would be was wrong

than Coalition so your lightheartedness about not having scumreads when you were apparently stressing about not having scumreads after the coalition failed is offputting

this is weird because in 595, you were saying i was too stressed about like not having scumreads. this new line of attack feels completely contrary to what you were saying before. i feels like you are trying to find seeming contradictions and slap a scumread on it.

in fact, i was stressed when like, i had hellbook's vote in tow, but for various reasons, i wasn't so much last night.

Hey so normally we're content to sheep ourselves and play as "Python" instead of individuals with differing opinions but in this case it's counterproductive since it's masking what's actually happening in a scummy way. When we're sheeping ourselves we have a rough hierarchy of who we sheep based off factors such as recency, level of detail, etc. In this specific case 595 was the party line so to speak while 613 was my own individual read that crossed the threshold to become the new party line. The dissonance you're seeing is because you're modelling it as an individual wildly swinging to a different read when it would be more accurate to treat it like hydra dissonance
