What is the point of making a statement and implying it's not a valid possibility? The distinction is worthless.

Hitch wrote:also, TCS, what is your play for dealing with the players that aren't posting? I've stated mine.

I assume yours is just to let them get to endgame with no way of desciphering their roles. That's pretty anti-town behaviour if you ask me.
Prod, replacement. Then if we still have lurkers, maybe we can lynch them...
if
we have nothing better to do. And I think at this present time we have better things to do.

I honestly think that the mod slapping a 7-day deadline on a game with 1,000,000 lurkers is pretty irresponsible, and that prods/replacements should occur before he does such a thing, because this day is pretty inevitably going to end in no-lynch at this point.

Your wording here suggests that you are
NOT
town-aligned. Congratulations on your slip.

I've been using that syntactical structure (if I were X, I would do/have done/might do X) for 90% of my posts this game.

You claimed that you read my posts and even pretended to do a little pretty analysis thing. That you would treat something I have done all game as a slip-up indicates that this is clearly a lie on your part. That you chose me to cast suspicion on, when you
clearly haven't read a word I've posted
up to this point is an iron-clad scum tell.
Welcome to OMGUS land. I was not concerned about that structure because you said nothing to imply you weren't town when I made the analysis—in fact, I did a Ctrl+F on your posts to make sure. Now you have. It is your job to convince us that you are town.
NOT
to hint at otherwise. I have no problems with you saying "if I were a cop", "if I were a doc", "if I were a mason", or "if I were the vig", though I'll read it as you not being the roles in question. "If I were scum" is risking WIFOM and would probably be something I'd call you out for. "If I were town" implies that you are scum.

It's called the subjunctive mood, The Central Scrutinizer. Now, if you said "If I
AM
cop/doc/mason/vig", then it'd be a whole different story as they are not subjunctive and you therefore imply that those are valid possibilities. The same goes for "if I am town/scum", but you shouldn't need the former and should only be using the latter with a good reason to do so.

Do you understand why I'm jumping on you?
No. I'm sorry that your tell-concept failed though. Maybe next game?

Apparently, neither do you. You claimed vig on Day 1; I asked who you killed and why. I don't remember getting an answer. In addition, not only did you dismiss your own claim as you screwing around, but you said that anyone who claims, softclaims, etc. without being serious should be lynched from now on. Therefore, according to yourself, you should be lynched.

Hm, I'm really lost as to why the activity is so low. I was under the impression some of you guys can post 5 pages in 24 hours? I hate to interfere so much with the game but it seems like something must be done about this.

Ad hoc rule #2

From this post on, each player must post at least once before the Jan. 9th. Otherwise you will get modkilled.

Hitch is still scum. Now he wants to lynch the quiet players. I guess in principle it's good for the metagame to lynch quiet players to encourage posting, but he knows the players not posting are often disinterested townies. Also, zhaorx is a bad choice since I'm pretty sure he hasn't posted on 2p2 for a while now and Hitch knows this. It's not like zhaorx is around but not posting.

vote Hitch
Every bit of this is totally wrong.

He says that 'in principle it's good for the metagame to lynch quiet players to encourage posting' but then goes on to backtrack as for his reasons to not want to do so, and they are all wrong.

'but he knows the players not posting are often disinterested townies' wrong. Who are these players you speak of? Link me to a game where WN was a disinterested townie. Then link me to a game where Zhoarx was a disinterested townie. If OR was here you might have a point, but until you link those games backing up your assertion it is clear to me you are full of shit.

The zhaorx thing in particular you do have a point, I hadn't realised he hadn't posted on 2p2. Meh.

unvote ; zhaorx

vote ; sun

also please note that I now suspect that sun + a number of utr players are the wolfteam.

Been on holidays since Dec 24th with limited/No access for most of that time and am now just catching up with the thread. I'm on pg 44 and I see it's only up to pf 46 so a few people have also been AWOL it would seem.

Once I am finished reading I'll post some thoughts.

Yes... my point was that I was screwing around Day 1, mocking the play of some people on this thread. Now I am playing.
From this point on,
I said, as in "NOT PREVIOUSLY BUT FORWARD IN TIME," we should lynch those who softclaim jokingly.

Also, are you forgetting that a confirmed cop defended me very forcefully when he didn't have to?

Part of it reads more like meta-defending you than having an innocent on you, but I see evidence suggesting the latter.

I'll
unvote
for the moment, but I'm closely watching you to make sure you keep to your word about claiming.
