I always thought that the random voting stage was, in a way, besides the obvious joke reasonings to vote people, that it was pretty serious, because you spur conversation, and something happens that starts the game.

In the case of self-voting, in the random voting stage, it's pretty harmless, but personally, I think its' pointless. For the people really opposed of self-voting, period, the discussion is going to focus on that. I wish I could reference this game, but it's ongoing..so nvm. But it gives us no information. But I think this part is kind of serious, since it's typically the starting point of the game.

It is scummy as it lessens the town's amount of information. In this case Farside is scummier though.

I pointed out how long I waited and the fact no one said boo till now. Those jumping on it after the fact except Korts and BSG who already said something about it and talked after I waited till day 1 to say is going to look very opportunistic.
Should I point out what Emp said after I waited and how long he waited for people to get a clue?

Yes, you pointed out how long you waited twice, with a different time each time.

Personally, I believe its a lot better to bring things up when the threat of votes exists as long as you can't die between not being able to vote and being able to vote.

Also, did you expect a reply by me to what you quoted? It was just a joke about how "12 hours wasn't a minute ago. Haw Haw. I just said "it was 12 hours" a little while ago."

I wasn't sure about the exact time, but I knew it was over 4 hours because I went out to dinner that night and had to put Aerin to sleep before I made my choice.

A minute ago wasn't the truth. That post was stated Monday. My comment about asking questions was Friday. How is that 12 hours ago? I did not read that comment as a joke.

RS, I want to ask you something since we haven't heard too much out of you. I understand the farside vote was a random vote, but now that we have progressed past that stage, what do you think about the current Farsid/empking thing? Personally, I can see farsides point, no one really did question her other than BSG and Korts until the beginning of the day, (Even I am guilty of that one.) What gets me is why did he wait so long to even bring it up? I counted 2 posts by him between her selection and the start of D1 and then it was the very first thing he brought up D1 as well, which ust happend to be after she voted him.

P.S. Speaking of not hearing much out of people, can we get some proddage TAX's way, he hasn't even said anything since his selection. In fact, looking back his selection is the ONLY thing he has said this entire thread.
