Alright. I'm going to be gone for an entire week, I am being an Outdoor Ed cabin leader, which is a program they allow high school students to do, go away for a week in like a cabin type thingy and learn about the outdoors. I'm gonna be in charge of about 13 10-year olds. Anyways, i'm leaving monday jan 31 and coming back friday feb 4, im going to be able to post on friday at around 3 PST. Sorry for this, everyone, if you all want, the mod can replace me. Sorry.. everyone, at this point

There is no cure in sight. Fortunately, school is getting back into full swing, so I'll be able to access the interweb there. This means I can post and update regularly Monday-Friday, but I'll still be stuck with little-to-no weekend access.

For the past three months or so, I've been working on my senior thesis for college, one of those "You need to do this well, or we will refuse to graduate you" things. In it, I basically ask the question "Why do companies such as Red Hat, that give substantial amounts of their product (GNU/Linux OS) away for free, have patents?", and it's actually going really well. I have a hypothesis, I have a way to test it, I have my important data, and I have a deadline of May 15th. However, as this project has been getting bigger, and I've been getting deeper into it, I've had less time to spend on mafiascum. I don't think I could reasonable play in a game in addition to modding right now, and soon I won't be able to play or mod at all. So, instead of calling it quits in the middle of a game and forcing somebody to replace me, I'm going to stop playing after I finish modding Vacant, South Kakalacky. I'll try to hang out in General and Mafia Chats, though, just as long as nobody posts a "Where's JereIC?" thread, with a bunch of speculation that I died or got abducted by aliens. Well, the phone company managed to knock out my cable, killing my internet, again. They were digging in the area to install fiber optic lines so they can then sell it to me later and one of them managed to cut the cable with a shovel. I figured they would have been more careful this time. I put in the call to the cable people to get it fixed. They say it will be a few days because the phone company has been almost terrorizing them cutting cable lines all over the place. They said it may get fixed on Thursday, but Im not sure if that’s true or not. It could have been just a line to get me off the phone. I guess you can put something on scum for me in case someone is looking for any excuse to lynch me.

Yeah this is my primary job .. It's not too bad though because when you work every weekend I get 3.30 extra an hour for everyhour. 40 x 3.3 = 132 dollars that I didn't have to begin with.

Plus I have more time during the week now to make sure my brothers are on the bus, get something to eat, and do their chores ...

Work is cracking down on our internet usage, so I'll mostly be on in the mornings or evenings M-F, and sometimes on the weekends. Shouldn't affect my gameplay much, but you'll likely see less random comments out of me.
