Mysterious voice is right about one thing: there's no need to hunt cultists. If I understand how cults work in Tar games correctly, then we'll win when all the mafia are dead, even if there are cultists left. We just have to avoid doing anything that triggers a cult win (mass role claim and losing the last High Councilor are two possibilities, though I lean towards the former) while doing it.

The Inquisitor is a self-aligned neutral with aspects of both the Serial Killer and the Cult Leader. Each Night (or Day in Nightless games), the Inquisitor may target a player. The Inquisitor will first attempt to kill that player; should he be unable to do so (due to passive abilities such as the Bulletproof Vest or roles such as the Doctor), he will then attempt to Recruit that player. A player recruited by the Inquisitor may or may not retain his or her former abilities (note that, if the Inquisitor is allowed to recruit Mafia, then recruits should not be able to retain factional abilities such as the Mafia nightkill).

The Inquisitor may have additional powers such as investigation immunity or limited kill immunity, but the Game Moderator should be wary when adding additional powers; the ability to recruit additional members into his faction makes the Inquisitor more powerful than your typical Serial Killer.

Historical note: This role was originally created by Mokina in the Worst Role Ideas thread, under the title Vigicultist.

And Vi was listed as Inquisitor when he died. And we have a couple unexplained "excommunicated" deaths... but two days where there was no "excommunicated" death, and no dead cultists. So if that's the role Tar used, we have two living cultists.
