Yes. I think you may already know, but I currently have no other use for my communique, so I might as well. :)

I was almost depressed enough to say that in my post but I changed it to requesting replacement before I posted it. I still want to solve this game.

I'm guessing the role claim was to protect Skitzer?

no. i have to look back to see who skitzer even is.

i don't see the harm in claiming in a no reveal scenario. i sent my role via communique to someone still alive. first communique was sent last night, and a confirmation message was sent today.

also, claims sometimes help breathe life into dying games.

I would like to know from the following people if they are "vanilla". If possible, you can reveal in communique to me. If you have already used your communique or don't mind revealing in thread then you can reveal in thread. I don't think there is a problem revealing this information. I don't want a full claim, just to know if you are vanilla or not. So the following please respond or state why you don't want to:

Skitzer, Casey, Hohum (or hohum's replacement)

I feel like I have a lot of pieces but want to make sure I put them together correctly before I reveal anything. Please bare with me.

Well Skitzer, you have barely posted. You have had few views and done no scum-hunting.
I have just chosen my best option for now. Give me a reason to change.
don wrote: also, claims sometimes help breathe life into dying games.
^ true for some roles, but for a mason, I am not so sure. I believe this claim could do more harm than good.

Anyway I think/hope Juls is going to breathe life into this game very soon anyway...

ok. got some time.

firstly, about the mason claim. dumb move, IMO. firstly, this game is no reveal. Your role can't be confirmed upon your death, your partner can't confirm you, and you can't be confirmed upon your partner's death. You've basically just claimed vanilla and told the scum who not to nk. Unless of course, you're gambitting and you're actually a PR. OR, unless you're scum. In any case, that was about the most anti-town thing to do right now.

Secondly, I would like to bring up the idea for serious discussion this time of a no-lynch. Activity is down, due to the fact that there aren't really any strong cases and no leads to go on. I think by this point, if any town players had any strong suspicions of anyone, the cases would have been presented by now. It is my wifom belief that scum are more likely on D2 to wait around for the town players to make bad cases, rather than try to start cases against town players. Problem is, town hasn't made any cases at all today, and the result is deafening silence. At this point, I expect new cases to be more likely presented by scum trying to start a mislynch under the looming deadline under the guise of attempting to jumpstart activity - I just don't see any town player sitting on a case all day, only to present it after a deadline has been set. Unlike a normal game, I don't see the benefit in a NR to lynch for the sake of lynching.

So... no lynch yay or nay?

----------------------------------------

Also, this does ironically bring up a new angle of discussion. Budja, why the vote on skitzer?

StrangerCoug replaces hohum! Everybody thank SC!

Vote Count

1 - Casey: (don_johnson)
1 - don_johnson: (StrangerCoug)
1 - Skitzer: (Budja)

7 - Not Voting: (Rhinox, Skitzer, Flameaxe, PhilyEc, Cybele, Casey, Juls)

10 alive means 6 to lynch

Deadline is still Apr. 19th (remember it is negotiable if activity picks up and/or I find a Cybele replacement)

Hey everybody :D

This is just suspicions right now based on a quick read, and I'll elaborate on them when I get more than just hunches.

I'm currently inclined to believe roffman was scum. I am led to believe that he had a defense as to time zone differences, but from what I saw I'm more concerned about the communiqué itself.

I know what I am, but I wasn't a big fan of hohum before I replaced in for him. Not a lot of posts I recall from him are pro-town.

The mason claim makes little sense to me with regards to flavor, so I will allow hohum's vote on don_johnson to stand.

No Lynch is OK as a last resort.

@dahill. I unvoted.

@Rhinox. I am not opposed to a no lynch but I would like Casey, Skitzer, and hohum to answer my question first in the event that there is a case to be built.

You're rubbing me the wrong way with this post. Even if we all spend our communiqués to tell you, I see this as tantamount to rolefishing since you're basically marking any non-vanilla claimants for the kill. How am I to believe that you are not scum looking for someone to bite the bait here?

Actually,
unvote: don_johnson
and
vote: Juls
since a reread reveals that #836 contradicts an earlier objection in #96 about sending players their roles via communiqués.
