Feel free to go fuck yourself, thanks. :)

Also facepalm.jpg at the claim. Going to go back to read what he's said.

Initial thoughts are him telling the truth.

I have the active ability to heal a person, I'm a doctor.
I have the passive ability to detect when someone else weaves the power, but I can not tell alignment.

I have never been tutored in how to channel the power, so I can unlock abilities later if I find a certain Aes Sedai to train me.
I can unlock the ability to still someone with the help of other Aes Sedai, but I can't do it yet.
Why are you, a wisdom, a doctor, as opposed to a full Aes Sedai? Considering they can heal better and all that..and if so do you heal with saidin

Could you go into more detail about your passive abillity? is it limited to people targetting you? Saidin/Saidar? Why can you detect when people weave the power?

Are you told of any abillites?

Please answer these :)

Now all that aside why the hell did you claim at L-way too many. I mean a claim should be a last resort, it was far from obvious that the bw was going to continue. Maybe trying to scumhunt and appear pro-town would have been a better strategy.

ABR: The stereotyping of foreigners was completely uncalled for, but outside of being totally rude, doesn't really have a huge impact on this particular game.

Fabian: Why the claim so early? It was a fairly stupid thing to do, especially with that role, however I would like to see more of the flavor that came with the beginning of your role PM. When you detect saidar, can you detect who is using it?

To everyone who doesn't like my play so far: Why? Saying you don't like my play doesn't help anyone, all it is is a generic statement, and proves nothing, other than your dislike for my play.

I awoke by the light of the morning instead of the crow of the rooster. It felt nice to sleep in after such a tough harvest week. The Festival was already being planned and tonight there would be lighting of the fires signaling the last few days before the winter.

The strangers around town have started to become common place. A few could be found at the inn at any given time, a few set up a small market on the outskirts of the town, and overall everything was peaceful.

Abel handed over his leather bag, coin pouch, sheathed sword, his hidden wristknife and twin daggers too, but didn't make a move to pull out the blade he always kept strapped to his right leg. He looked up at his old friend.

"You said Kain was camping by the river?"

Moss nodded.

"Good, I'll keep an eye out for him. I'll be back for my things tonight."

The burly man nodded again.

Ohh game.

Now, lets get this party started for mad reals. I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I win when the scum are killed, not lose when the Aes Sedai are eliminated. Or, really, anything in particular about the Aes Sedai. Now, I know this is revolutionary and all, but let flavor sit back and actually look for scum, mkay.

WITH THAT SAID:

Fabian is so town (retarded town, but town nonetheless) right now it hurts.

I really don't like ABR's play around this whole doctor fiasco - especially the "lynch now so there is no wifom" assuming there isn't isn't a myriad of ways to check it out that dont result in a doctors death VIA lynch ffs.

Macavity is, again, also probably town. Again, we have the classic "this doesn't do any good" but ultimately there is no scum maneuvering there - its not just a question of "how does this help the town" its also "how does this help the scum". When it could fractionally help the town in bizarro world the statement itself doesn't help the scum.

So, for now.

Vote: ABR

Did you read my post? Backpedaling...duh.

Next, DO NOT lynch Fabian. I have about 100 reasons for this (exaggeration...)

1. There may be other Aes Sedai with less effective healing abilities who can protect him (see WoT Mini).

2. His claim is pretty solid. Wisdoms existed simply as town healers. (Well...and weathermen).

3. With the ability to sleep in different areas, there is a chance that a killing role does not pick the same place as him and thus he may be safe from death this night.

4. Better a scumlynch and power role NK than a power role lynch and another NK.

5. Yes, he played terribly and should NOT have claimed, however I see no reason for a scum to do this.

So, that said, I am surprised that people would pile on the votes so quickly. I think I will
FoS: Albert B. Rampage
especially for quickvoting the claim and then unvoting shortly afterwards using a racial stereotype as a coverup for backpedaling.

Your post quoted fuzzylightning's backpedaling, then voted me. So, again, why?

Much as I dislike the way Fabian claimed, I'd have to say that his claim is believable.

Still like my Cyberbob vote.

BTW, I have entrance exams over the next two weeks, so I will also be semi-LA. I'll be around enough to post, but not too much.

Wisdoms are generally town healers or town wise women in the books, as to why me and not Aes Sedai, I have no idea.
It doesn't specify which I heal with but I can only assume saidar because saidin is the male half.
Faraday wrote:Could you go into more detail about your passive abillity? is it limited to people targetting you? Saidin/Saidar? Why can you detect when people weave the power?
It's limited to people in the same room, and I can only detect Saidar, but I can't tell from who or who it was aimed at.
Faraday wrote:Are you told of any abillites?

Please answer these :)
I'm told something, but it's very vague, so because of that I need to be careful with how I write it here.
I learned what I know by myself so I'm not very strong, but I may be able to find someone who can help me, and I know that the old blood is strong in me.
I don't know who it is or how to find them, so like I said it is vague, and I'd rather not be vague in my current position, but I can't do anything about that.
I'm taking a wild guess that it's some kind of trigger, possibly with sleeping positions or something, but screwed if I know.
Faraday wrote:Now all that aside why the hell did you claim at L-way too many. I mean a claim should be a last resort, it was far from obvious that the bw was going to continue. Maybe trying to scumhunt and appear pro-town would have been a better strategy.
I screwed up, I put myself in a position that I couldn't defend against, arguing about whether or not I was drunk was hardly going to help me.
In hindsight I see the claim was stupid too, especially with ABR's point, but that's why it's hindsight.

I assume that we don't start off in any particular game positions, and this applies to the whole group, yes?
Can mod confirm this?

And I agree, I don't think a whole lot can be gathered from this.

Locations are chosen before twilight, using the twilight ability in the rules post. Players "sleep" during twilight in the place they choose. After twilight everyone leaves from the place that they "sleep" and returns to the common areas.

At first glance, Fabian's claim comes across as believable. It's definitely not something I wish to test with a lynch at this point - flavor-wise I think the claim holds true to the books.
Knight of Cydonia wrote:Right now? On Day 1 with 6 pages of role speculation and bullshit about how best we can do the scum's job by outing potential Aes Sedai for them? Pretty damn much everyone stupid enough to take part in such a worthless sidetrack, because the more of this deliberately obfuscating crap clogs up the thread, the harder finding scum becomes, and I'm pretty damn sure that most of this crap is coming from scum.
If you are 'pretty damn sure' that
most
of the previous discussion had originated from scum, why have you:

1) Ignored MBL's question
2) Shown reluctance to attack said offenders?
fuzzylightning wrote:I was singling him out, because I don't know what he is trying to do with all his talk of Aes Sedai, whereas everyone else was pretty clear in their posts, hence the FoS and not the vote.
How was he unclear? Why were you then able to go back and figure out his intentions only after being asked about this? Why did you assume your lack of clarity translated to scummy behavior?

Due to the way locations work in this game I think its impossible for fabian to both be able to detect saidar as in claim as well as observed its use thus far. Therefore I think he is lieing in at least one of his claims and thus I believe none of it. Also, claiming this early seems off too. Explain? This and your weak defense earlier is enough to change my vote though.

I find this suspicious, namely because there are very few reasons to logically be voting Fabian right now.

Also, locations take place
at night
while right now we are all in a common area. How did this slip by you? It was written in bold, blue, modtext.
