Yay to P167
No to P16810% isn't enough.
Yes to P169The real point of this rule is to make Rule 15 a silver rule. As long as the marketplace is in effect, with kill/save items, we will never get to a billion NomicBucks.
Yes to P170Mora to Juls just now: "Are you going to run a Nomic III?" Juls: "Probably."
No to P171If re-proposed later when you don't have a bunch of proposals in the queue, I would probably vote yes.
Yes to P172Accepting this now, even while I hope that P171 fails now, so that you re-propose P171 later by itself.
No to P173No free money, it seems like you are trying to get everyone to buy powers for 2500$$$, but it would probably just result in buying marketplace items for most people. No free rides.
Yes to P174Anything that promotes player activity is good.
Yes to P175If all players are negative balance, something is wrong, but this win condition is fine by me.
No to P176I'm not sure I like those amounts, everyone could put out several 20% steal attempts, make a quick 10K $$$ or whatever, buy up a bunch of kill items and put out several fast kill attempts. Just a big slaughterhouse effect, no real strategy there. I'd probably say yes to this if the steal amounts were lowered.
No to P177Same deal, I'd say yes to this if the reward was lowered. And probably best not to ask questions in your proposals, otherwise it means nothing as a rule.
Yes to P178, P179More incentive to re-propose P176 later. But don't do P176 again at the same time as P171, or I'd probably say no again.Men's evil manners live in brass; their virtues we write in water.-

These side-game rules are too chance based for my tastes. Although interesting, no.
Nay to P168, P171, P172, P173, P177, P178, P179
Yay to P167, P169, P170, P174, P175
P171 can be simplified by just awarding money to Proposers. When somebody reaches 4 green influence then nobody will vote for any of his proposal, no matter how good. Well, yeah.Nobody knows-

P167: Yea
P168: Nay
P169: Nay. I don't see where this is going.
P170: Nay and. Nomic III will be a completely separate game, and I don't think it is in the bounds of possibility to have a rule carry over remotely from another version of the game.Protest to Panel
If the rule fails, I'll retract the protest.
P171: Nay. I like productivity enhancing proposals, but this is loaded. We'll start rejecting proposals just 'cause it's a guy we hate. That ain't democracy!
P172: Nay
P173: Nay
P174: Yea
P175: Yea
P176: Nay
P177-178: Yea
P179: Nay. I can be swayed on that, but I don't like a goal centered around one thing. I like Game Tokens just as a freebie item instead of a game-winning item.-

The bounds of possibility? P170 doesn't break any current golden, silver, or player rule. That is the entire extent of what is necessary for a proposal to be "in the bounds of possibility", as far as I'm concerned.yabbaguy wrote: P170: Nay and Protest to Panel. Hell, even if it DID break a rule, all that would do is set up a contradiction, which is STILL in the "bounds of possibility" for Nomic.
I don't get why this is a protest, seems more like a "I don't like this idea" response, protesting seems more something reserved for when a mod judgement is made and you deem it unfair or something of that nature.
I may have to consider proposing a new rule like "yabbaguy must now wear an italian sausage necklace for the remainder of the game with daily photographed proof", just as a proof of concept on the "bounds of possibility".Men's evil manners live in brass; their virtues we write in water.-

Unverifiable. Unless Juls comes over to my house and everywhere else I go personally and makes sure that I'm wearing that necklace the whole time, even photo proof won't do anything. Let me know if she's okay with that, though.
I disagree with the moderator decision that the rule should be considered. That legally invokes GR11.
My argument is basically that all these rules pertain to Nomic II. Once Nomic III starts, I don't think you can really "bridge" rules from one edition to another, as the entire ruleset aside from default GRs and SRs will completely wipe out. Somehow I think the panel is going to invoke spirit of the game and shoot me down, but I tend to be of the sort to take rules literally. I'm like that, y'know?-

Basically the way I envisioned it is that the rule would roll over to Nomic III as the first regular rule at which point players could decide what they wanted to do about it (e.g. repeal it, not play, be happy with it, etc.). However, I am not going to abuse my panel on a proposal. If it passes I will pass the protest on to them.-------------------------------------
