Boo on meta. BOO ON IT.

Its a good thing you're town or I would lose my mind. :P

Early bandwagons = good is a matter of taste and not alignment. It, in fact, can help both sides based on who the wagon IS and what comes from it.

I'd just hate for dude to duck my logic kung fu by harping on something ridiculous. Figured I'd shut it down nice and early.

Fair enough. Just saying its pretty much unnecessary as the argument itself - "early bandwagons are scummy" is moonbeams.

No need to fuss that all up with filthy meta.

@SpyreX - What are you trying to accomplish by saying people are confirmed town? Obviously you don't actually know, or do you?

Either you're just not thinking about it at all, which I find hard to believe, or you're trying to buddy up to who you find the more dangerous players.

If you're not scum, then confirming people as town only makes it more likely that they will be noght killed. This is the essence of cruelty's aversion to scumlists.

Of course I don't KNOW but that doesn't change the fact that I know.

Note: watching a wagon all up ons someone who has pulled the towniest move I've seen in a damn long time is amazing.

I'm not "accomplishing" anything. Stating my reads is all.

Unstoppable wagon piles up on foilist13. If foilist13 is town, and archaebob is scum, archaebob stays quiet and he's got a perfectly easy lynch on day one and a lot of fingers to point it at (me, SpyreX, whoever else jumps on top) on day two. So the fact that he spoke up with meta that at least slowed the wagon (if not ended it), makes it an implicitly townie act. Only non-townie scenario is that archaebob AND foilist13 are scum, but look at this thread and tell me if that makes any sense at all. Not sure if SpyreX has anything more slam-dunk than that (he may very well), but that's what has me convinced archaebob is town.

In other words, we already know foilist13 is flustered townie and his vote was probably OMGUS. Which leaves the we-already-know-you're-scum AlmasterGM and peanutman (BTW AlmasterGM, don't think I forgot about your cute little sneaky appeal to emotion here, "It's going to be your argument that will be the "self-evidently untrue" one if I'm lynched this round." You think you're such a playa, dontcha) voting. Not sure if afatchic is scum, or just spaced.

Pretty on the spot *SHOCK*.

However, I'll add a caveat: I'm in no way convinced that foil is town.

That factor doesn't change the fact that bob's manuever makes 100% sense as town and absolutely minimal as scum regardless of foil's alignment.

In both of these he interspersed content posts with one liners in a very similar manner to which he is doing now, except here there is less content than there normally is.
"I always do it" isn't an excuse. Scummy behavior is scummy. If you are in this game and you are on the town side, your should be trying to make the town win.
I would think that "I always do it" would be an excuse, as by definition it would be a null tell. Please stop making bad arguments...
alma wrote:My point is we don't need a bandwagon to have conversation, which is proven by the fact that there's 9 massive pages of text that have nothing to do with the "wagon" on me.
We don't -need- one, but the wagon on you DID have a lot to do with the text we've had so far. If you remember, you pulled out a "you're scummy gamma cause of research" which then put you in the spotlight. After you got a few votes on you, f13 chimed in saying that you had a case when the consensus is you didn't, and that's when he voted for the wrong person, which spawned a multi-page debate over why he didn't then correct the error. It could be a sign that f13 saw his scumbuddy gaining the early vote lead and panicked to shove it onto anyone else.

Actually, looking over his posts I want him to answer one more question before I give a stance.

@peanut- You gave a response to you not claiming that the person you were voting for was scum that I find still a little weird, but plausible.
Given recent events, is archaebob still 1)your vote to lynch, and 2)who do you think is the most likely scum?

Fair enough, though next time I would suggest actually telling us WITH the vote, without waiting for someone to ask. Maybe that's just me.

You guys can feel free to jump on the Muffin wagon. There's no way we're going to lynch AGM or foilist until Muffin does something about the nagging suspicions against him, and the total lack of posting is not really not helping.

In all honesty, I'd totally prefer lynching a lurker over a scummy player who's being active. I consider it the priority of Day 1 to make everyone establish a position and a pattern of play, so that we can get to the real scum-hunting after the first flip. I'm much more worried right now about the day ending with Muffin, China, and fatchic being allowed to keep to the shadows than I am of leaving foilist or AGM alive an extra day.

Muffin, you need to post.

It'd be totally awesome if you guys could join me in pressuring him.

yep.

I don't know for sure who we need to lynch yet, but I do know for sure that we're not lynching at all until everyone in this game has clearly staked their positions out, and responded to the queries of all the other players.

Get your vote up on muffin, Gamma. AGM is not going anywhere, believe me.

1) Yes, it is still on Bob. Just his last few posts give me reason to keep it there. For one, he once again votes without explaining, which to me seems quite scummy, given that he can justify his vote later. If Lexprod hadn't questionned him right away, he might have gotten reactions from other people before even explaining his own vote, thereby molding his answer to what the town would want to hear. In addition, I don't like the way he tries to dictate the whole pace of the game and direct us where to focus our attention, who should be the main lynch-candidates, etc. Whether it's de facto indicative of scum, I wouldn't know because I haven't played that many games, but I do notice that he dictates the pace of this game without explicitly sharing any of his own views very often. And I am quite uneasy with that because I get the feeling his has a hidden agenda, only shining light and where it's most advantageous to him.

2) In that sense, he does strike me as the scummiest in my opinion. However, he might not be the one who has played the worst game up to now. The prime example that has been frequently addressed is F13's play. While I agree it is bad, the whole not-changing-his-vote-after-realizing-his-mistake, I have trouble seeing a scum commit that kind of mistake so early on. If anything, I would assume that a scum would be very cautious as to where his vote stands and want to quickly back down from any confrontation early on. That is my interpretation of it. F13's play has been anti-town but, at this point, seems more like bad play than scummy play.
