If I was modding I'd likely run a Pick your Poison setup, where the mafia would have to pick the town poweroles in the pregame from an open list, and then on day 0 the players would vote for what perks to give the mafia from an open list. Would be similarly formatted to previous minis I've run with this mechanic, but with different roles.

Minimal flavour, probably two week deadlines or close.

Edit: I would also run a larger PYP setup if needed.

I'm sensing a severe lack of speed games on offer here, so this is what I'll be doing;

Beat the Bomb

The town gets 21 real life days
for the whole game
to lynch the scum - if the mafia eliminates the town
or
the town runs out of time, they lose.

- Player range is 11-16
- Instantaneous nights (Players submit their actions during the day, then they resolve simultaneously after the lynch and the next day starts)
- Roles will be NORMAL
- Flavour (if any) will be minimal and not game related
- Game will be balanced to factor in the alternate losing method for town
- I'll likely use a BaM-inspired ruleset in regards to replacements, but I urge you to choose this game only if you're online regularly

It’s not that I was on the fence about this, I’ve been planning on putting out my shingle for some time. But I wanted to make sure I had a good theme down. It’s a bit out there, but I think it fits /invitationals quite well as it depends on knowing each other, accountable players, and juggling a somewhat complicated, unconventional game. I would not be confident in doing this as an open Theme game because I think it runs the severe risk of players being overwhelmed yet underinformed and thus flaking. Here, I don't worry about /in-vitational players.


MURDER IN THE DARK


You’re a group of Antarctic scientists and you’re trapped in your research station in the dead of Winter. It’s always dark out. You’re used to the gloom, but there’s something far more sinister than shivering penguins waddling around in your research station: there’s a group bent on your destruction. Then the power fails, and you’re stuck in the dark.

This game will be played silent.

Players may only
Vote
and
FoS
other players in the main thread.

However! Each player will at all times be able to communicate with at least one other player, and many players (if not most) will be able to communicate in multiple groups of people ranging in size. (e.g. Person A may be able to communicate in a QT with Person B, in a QT with Persons C and D, and in a QT with Persons D, E and F.)

This game will use instantaneous night, whereby all actions must be submitted before I make nightfall, and night will happen instantly.

The game will, besides the mechanic, not be very crazy. Because I’ll use the mechanic in some roles, I don’t promise to use only normal roles, but I won’t use anything way out there either.

I will scale this game between 7 and 16 people, depending on how many wish to play. If fewer than 7 wish to play, I’ll gladly /in as a player.

Basic Mafia


There are 5 Possible Roles you can receive:

Anti-Town

Mafia Goon
Assassin (Takes skill to get people lynched)

Town Aligned

Watcher (Not-a-Cop)
Martyr (Not-a-Doctor)
Town

The purpose for this game is for people to experience something rather different. Though there are powers they are less informative and the town will have to use their own wit.

The set-up is as follows:
2 Mafia (Don't know who assassin is)
1 Assassin (Receives orders from mafia of who to try and get lynched - doesn't know who mafia are)

1 Watcher
1 Martyr
8 Town

It will be a day start with the Godfather (No perks, just the leader of the pack [admittedly a pack of two]) sending a choice for the Assassin to target. Simple basic mafia fun.

If I'm chosen to mod, I'll probably put together a nice, Normal set-up which will be tailored to the number of players that I am given to mod.

Mini 601 - my first mini normal
Mini 664 - my first mini theme
A whole slew of Newbie games
Mini 780 - Chosen and /in-vitational 2 - Chosen, Karaoke
Mafia 108 - Mafia with the Quickness - a normal, swift game
Mini 975 - Dirty Dirty South Mafia - a themed mini game using the Deep South mechanic and swift deadlines

The Normal games should give you an idea of what you can look forward to if you choose me as your mod.
