/em is confused???

I just see this as a way the mafia can get info about which good player to peg off first, plus the mafia all have back-up safe claims if even one of them knows the show.

Consider this, though: What if the knowledgable players and the experienced players turn out to be different groups entirely? Then, the scum have harder choices to make, and the harder their choices are, the more likely they will make mistakes. This does give the scum somme informatiopn, but the town gets that information too. I think, if done right, we'll give the scum just enough rope to hang themselves.

I don't really see anything of note.

I think Emp may have a point, though, armlx, in that your example seems a little rambling. ~shrug~

If that is the case, then I am most certainly safe, as I don't fit into either :D

I can easily accept that you are indeed confused about the theory behind this. But I am suspicious of you for 4 other reasons: The fact that you did in [33] that which you would soon after argue was harmful to the town. The error you made in [49] seems to indicate a guilty conscience- that you felt like you needed to defend yourself. The flimsiness of the farfetched explanation you gave in [57], which ended with what seemed an attempt to quickly dismiss the matter with “On to the next post...”. And the fact that, for someone who has “no clue” about the show and cannot even take part in speculation, you seem awfully sure that there are enough safe Day 1 claims for the mafia.

Neo:
By “familiarity” I meant whether you had seen either the TV show or the movie. I’m assuming from your answer that for you it’s neither- is this correct?

I’m going to be having a bad week, through at least Thurs. and probably until the weekend. I’ll try to keep up, but realistically I probably won’t have time to contribute.

Yeah, I've got to say this bandwagon seems like a bad idea, especally as Nanook seems to be lurking in multiple games right now.

Why him, PB? It's not like he was the only enfranchised ovine.
I think it's pretty clear that TSS's awesomeness did alter the roles each of us recieved, and thus he's obviously pro-town. -- Save The Dragons

No real reason for anyone. This game started slow, and then fell back.

I'd second a Nanook replacement. I'm almost tempted to suggest mass-prods or a deadline just to get people moving.

EmpTyger-given that Nanook isn't posting, why don't you explain why you wanted everybody to claim whether they had seen the show before?
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.
