So, going back to look at the first post (to see who camn replaced) I just noticed that ThAd is "Jezzy". I dunno if we should be leaning this heavily on the flavor, but Jezzy is the character in the story who keeps trying to usurp the command. I dunno if this means anything about the chances that Jezzy is SK vs Vig, but it is something to consider.

Ingrid paced slowly across the grassy Liten plain. She turned her gaze left, then right, then forward, then behind; regardless of where she looked, there were no Arkons to be spotted. Nearby, and a bit behind her, Psycho strode as well. As she looked at him, Ingrid's eyes narrowed. The fingers on Psycho's left hand were tapping his laser rifle in a rhythmic pattern...

His lips were moving as well, and now that Ingrid was paying closer attention to him, she could make out what he was quietly saying.

"Hey!" Ingrid snapped. "The hell you think you're doing?"

Psycho ignored her.

"--tramp, Daddy's little cutie, you're so fine, they'll never see ya leavin' by the back door, ma'am. Hot times, get it--"

Ingrid slowed her pace until she was alongside Psycho, and then she took her elbow and gave him a sharp jab to the ribs. He grunted, wincing slightly.

"Hey!" he protested. "What's wrong with you?"

"You're listening to music while on patrol, that's what's--" Ingrid stopped abruptly. "Wait, how're you listening to music anyway? The EM field supposed to KO all active electronic devices."

Psycho shrugged. "Ok, ok, so I broke the laws of physics. When's my court date?"

"Dammit, Psycho, just give me an honest answer!"

"Whoa, girl, you seem stressed." A glint appeared in Psycho's eye. "You could use some, ah,

"So I should tell the captain that she's got a new toy?"

Ingrid glared at him. "Go to hell."

"The singing, remember? The whole reason you decided to jab me in the ribs in the first place?" Psycho grinned. "Man that ancient old school shit's the best. Not like the crap that gets pumped out nowadays--"

"Whatever." Ingrid sighed. "Just shut the fuck up and do your patrol. If I die because you went lax on the job, my ghost or aiùa or whatever the hell you become after you die is gonna come back and haunt your damn ass."

If I lied and said I wasn't lazy would it make me more pro-town? Methinks that direction lies a lengthy philosophical debate on the question of how much time it is reasonably expected for a "pro-town" player to put into the game and whether that time is subjective or should simply be based off tasks accomplished during that time.

Not explicitly stating you were lazy but continuing to be lazy would not change my perceptions. You’ve made multiple statements wondering about Meta or other items and specifically asked for others to do the legwork for you. That’s underachieving from your slot and you know it.

Well, I think the theory is pretty good:
If we all picked a target for the Vig, then:

If the target was scum, the scum would block or protect (if they can) or possibly kill the vig (which wouldn't be terrible at this point).... so the odds of scum dying would be low.. if it can be avoided..

on the other hand, if the target were TOWN, then the scum would say 'WHEW" and leave the vig alone totally, knowing a townie dies tonight and they are totally safe. Plus, since the scum would have had a hand in the decision to begin with, this is the choice tht would actually happen.

OTOH..
if we lay out some targets we PERSONALLY will take offense to vigging.. the vig himself gets to decide what he wants. Vig our townreads and risk our wrath? Vig US because of our townreads? Vig someone else because he thinks our townreads are good? All great.
The scum, on the other hand, have no guidance on what to do with thier actions tonight. At best, they panic, kill the Vig, and we dont have to worry that he is a serial killer anymore.

@camm - Normally, I would agree. But ThAdmiral has shown a very uncanny ability to pick crappy targets. So I think giving him too much leeway is a bad idea. Also, I don't see why all your potential problems (e.g., roleblock etc) can't be solved by giving a few targets.
