Because I don't like throwing votes around. Don't misrepresent me: 45% uncertainty is quite a lot, wouldn't you say?UncertainKitten wrote:So...instead of voting someone you are more than halfway sure is mafia...you...persist in voting no one?
I...why would you do that, Drench?
Sorry, make that 42%.

I...misrepresented you how again?
55, or apparently now 58% is MORE THAN 50%.
You are presently voting no one.
There is not a SHRED of misrep in my statement. Regardless, I will look at your prior voting patterns in this game."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

OH NO I'M HALF CERTAIN THAT SOMEONE IS MAFIA
YOU KNOW I THINK I SHALL VOTE THEM BECAUSE THE GLASS HALF FULL IS AS GOOD AS THE GLASS OVERFLOWING RIGHT???
ESPECIALLY IF THE GLASS IS A BIG GLwhat the fuck
you are not obv-town, despite what you may think.
stop misrepresenting 50% as 100%. i would have absolutely no problems in lynching you, right now, if you didn't have this theory. i'm willing to see how it plays out, but rest assured, if things don't line up, my vote WILL visit you
does that satisfy you, or shall i do a little dance?join your union-

Meh, not enough data to be conclusive. The problem is you have this TERRIBLE habit of lurking until someone is close to lynch. You DID throw out some quick votes early in the game, but your voting patterns became less erratic later. But, the thing is you don't have a lot of posts between votes, which is intriguing. Just time.
I have an eye on you, my dear Drench.
@Drench cut: No, but you see, it's not like your vote alone would lynch me. Hell, it only takes me to L-3. For the second vote on a wagon, 50% is pretty damn plenty. And are we EVER *that* sure about who is mafia? Rather, much more sure than that? Because I find it interesting.
You're inclined to believe I'm lying. Why won't you back it up?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Also, what the hell makes you think I think I'm obv town? I'm a pretty damn good lynch. In fact, I'm probably the best lynch, from a not-me perspective. I myself am looking elsewhere so that hopefully I'll be of some use before my time is up."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

You're inclined to believe I'm lying. Why won't you back it up?There is a theory that accounts for all facts currently present. This theory points to you being scum. I will not reveal this theory until a later date. You of all people should realize why, considering your performance yesterday. However, it is by no means the only theory.
And I'm usually much more sure about who's scum when I vote. I don't know about you, but it seems to me that you're applying how you decide to vote on my decisions. I don't know about you, but that sounds wrong.

Well, to be fair? I know I'm town. Why would I word anything otherwise? I assume that my ~*~SHEER FORCE OF PERSONALITY~*~ isn't going to suddenly make you stop thinking and make me your lord and master.
As for how you vote, it's a convenient way to avoid committing to things, which intrinsically helps scum. I'm trying to ferret out whether you just do things that way, or if you're covering your ass if something goes wrong."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

first off, I (was) a one-shot roleblocker. I targeted UK last night, and no one died. UK --> scum
secondly, UK told us that Zodiark was scum, and he was not. UK --> scum
@Tracker claim: UK, is not it entirely possible that Zodiark was a cop/networker/etc? Why would you believe without out a doubt, to the point of forcing a lynch, that Zodiark was mafia? I'm not familiar with the "red truth", but afaict it constitutes something that the poster isconfidentof a proven fact. Your statement proved to be false, and even in your tracker claim you showed that you didn't have absolute proof that Zodiark was scum. I would understand claiming and voting for him, but your use of red truth doesn't make sense. The mafia ability of having a townie do their lynch seems very unlikely.

@Roleblocker claim: Could there not have been a doctor protection? So you automatically assume I was scum?
@the rest of it: I got overconfident and was wrong. But, if he had been a cop or anything like that, he would have claimed it, I would have outted myself as a tracker, and we'd continue on our way. But he wasn't. He claimed VT.
Also, would you like an example of that ability? Because I can CERTAINLY provide that . I've seen it before, or I'd have been completely flummoxed."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

And yes, I'm arguing right now despite prior statements, mostly because CityofAs conjecture is absolute trash. I really dislike being attacked for the wrong reasons."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

No, I am not 100% sure that you are scum, which is why I am not using red truth like you did. but it is unlikely that a doctor happened to have a lucky guess the same night I targeted you (who already looked scummy). I won't be confident you are scum until I see the death post. But I find you scummy enough to warrant a vote.UncertainKitten wrote:@Roleblocker claim: Could there not have been a doctor protection? I have two problems with your vote CoA.
Firstly, your claim is weird. Suddenly outing yourself as a ONE-SHOT RB, and telling us that you HAPPENED to target UK. It's all too convenient. TBH, I would only see you claiming this if you were a Mafia RBer, and wanted to further frame UK.
Secondly, I've been thinking. There is no one, and I mean, NO ONE, who I can think of, that would fit your role claim flavor wise. I /MIGHT/ understand if you said you were a complete RB. Like, you could use it more than once. But the One-Shot thing makes it near impossible.

@CityofAs: Because it's such a bloody rare ability. It's not exactly something you think of unless the facts fit it. We didn't know Zodiark's alignment and role before his lynch. FURTHER, he was rather scummy to begin with, which means that conjecturing his innocence when I had the closest thing to a guilty on him is just plain counterintuitive.
As for the rest, I'm not going to stoop to certain levels, but if you'd bloody think for two damn seconds your house of cards will fall.
Anyway, example

Welcome to Mind Screw Mafia 4, PLAYERNAME. You are The Joker (from The Dark Knight), Batman's bane. You're an absolute master at screwing with people's heads and altering their sense of reality... a skill that should be useful beyond words in a realm where that happens anyways...
You are a Mafia Sanity Specialist. You have the following special abilities:
At Will Abilities:
Vote - You may vote other players by posting Vote: PLAYERNAME in the thread.
Grab Item - You may grab a loose item by posting Grab: ITEMNAME in the thread. If two or more players use this action for the same item, only the first works.
Change Avatar: You may change your avatar by posting Avatar Change in the thread. Changing your avatar without posting this will result in [REDACTED - RULE 0].
Change Location - You may change your location (your location can be found under your avatar and is set via Profile) by posting Location Change. Changing your location without posting this will result in [REDACTED - RULE 0].
Change Signature - You may change your signature by posting Signature Change in the thread. Changing your signature without posting this will result in [REDACTED - RULE 0].
Factional Abilities:
Mafioso - You are a member of the Mafia, consisting of PLAYERNAME 1 (Tarhalindur (from Real Life), Mafia Tech Tree User), PLAYERNAME 2 (The Joker (from The Dark Knight), Mafia Sanity Specialist), PLAYERNAME 3 (Alfred Bester (from Babylon 5), Mafia Mind Controller), and PLAYERNAME 4 (Anonymous (from Various), Mafia Memetic Jack of All Trades). The Mafia may talk outside the game at any time using this QuickTopic[/ url], but not by any other means. Each day, the Mafia may send one of their own members to perform the Mafia kill as a Rapid Action (it resolves immediately upon receipt).
Enemy Mine - You have the ability to force others to perform an action on your behalf. This allows you to make the Mafia kill; your kill method is "Given a Glasgow Grin".
Enemy Mine Aftermath - When you perform the Mafia kill, you MUST name two different players. Instead of performing the Mafia kill yourself, you will instead force the first player you name to perform the Mafia kill targeting the second named player. (You do not personally target either of the players you name, but the first player will target the second player with the Mafia kill on your behalf.)
Mafia Falseclaim - At any time, you may send me an ability (or set of abilities) and a role name. If you do, I will make a fake role PM for you using the given name and abilities at the earliest possible opportunity. This is a Rapid Action (it resolves immediately upon receipt). You may use this ability any number of times.
Passive Abilities:
Pretty Sneaky Pete - You begin the game with the Rogue's Tools item.
Protection from Mafia Factional Kill - If you would be killed by the Mafia's factional kill, instead you aren't.
Activated Abilities:
Sanity Shift - Once every 300 posts, you may make a post in the thread containing exactly one of the words used to describe sanity (sane, insane, naive, paranoid, or random), exactly one block of quoted text from a player's post, and the question Why so serious? in red text (this post may contain any number of other words, and may even contain votes, but cannot contain a quote from a second player). That player's sanity will become the sanity named in your post. This is a Rapid Action it resolves immediately upon receipt). Please note that this ability is considered a special action that targets the quoted player.
Please note that you may only use only one activated ability of your role (with the exception of Sanity Shift, which you may use once every 300 posts) and any number of activated abilities of items you control each day.
Win Condition (Mafia) You win when all other factions have left the game, or nothing can prevent the same.
Please confirm via return PM.
Role post
So, yes. IIRC Haylen was even IN that game.
Finally, claim your flavor, City."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

I targeted UK because of what happened yesterday, which struck me as very scummy.Lady Lambdadelta wrote:I have two problems with your vote CoA.

Flavor: My character is Hojo Satoko. I'm not sure who that is (I don't know the story) but the roleblock flavor is setting traps for people. I can only set one because the land has limited resources.-

Interesting...
That flavor is correct... but not something you couldn't have learned (thanks to my stupidity).
I said in chat that Satoko was known for laying traps. This could easily be a formulated fake claim.
I still don't like it. And I don't see how a trap=RB.
IGMEOY
P-Edit: UK, remember when I posted all that flavor shit? Satoko's traps was in there.Yes my Lord, but questions are dangerous, for they have answers.

Ah, right, that. And actually, I could see a trap as an RB. Traps incapacitate and/or enrage. They can be rather distracting from the task at hand.
But one, One shot? For Satoko? Really? That's...convenient.
Also, LL...in chat? Do you not mean in thread?
You know, at first I was kinda chill with City's claim. After all, I can confirm I was roleblocked, and did in my first post. But...admittedly, there *is* nothing preventing him from being a mafia RB...there are a few tenuous wires, but for the time being, there are a lot of worse places for my vote.
Vote CityofAs
If you'd like I could probably formulate a fuller case through an ISO, since I don't recall City being the archon of pro townity."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."
