To poke my nose in, AurorusVox did have a compelling argument to what I said earlier about the mass of noises. I had not considered what would happen if totallynotmafia was ritual killed tomorrow night. If he has indeed stalked cult, then he has just become a priority target for them to ritual, so they can resuscitate whoever he stalked and the town will never know. If Benmage had been killed the night he attacked SpyreX, there might still be six cult left instead of five. Revealing the identity of one cultist is more valuable than confirming the alignment of any one townie.

Let's organise all the night actions

To do list before we lynch either TNM or Plum
1. Get Triglav's night claim
2. Make a final decision as to who kills who.
3. Finalise other night actions in a formal Hito-esque post

Once these are done we can progress to lynching.

Hell, once we do those three we can even try out some suicidal tests, although I think it's too cumbersome at the moment. If we do do it, whoever is going to be our lynch for the day must be one of the first to vote in each test.

I'll tell you what's going to happen after I claim my target: Cult will fuck with my kill tonight, I wont be confirmed tomorrow, and everybody will be on my back again saying "Yeah we knew you couldn't murder" and I'll be in the same shitty position.

Maybe I'm being selfish, which is why if the majority wants me to claim I'll do it. I still think having a confirmed town, especially one who may be lynched soon, is much more ideal for town.

TNM, as Feysal has put, it is more important for us to watch scum reactions than to confirm townies.

Declare your target.

If you hit scum, scum either die or they save the person. If you die in the night and they save your declared target we've probably found scum

If you hit town, scum either let you do it and you're confirmed, or they spend a first aid kit and their ritual on a target of your choosing.

If you ARE scum, you'll get caught, or try to claim that scum has rezzed your target and is staying quiet about it. If that's the case we kill you, and if you flip town, we kill your target.

If you don't declare:
Maybe you get confirmed.
If you dont' get confirmed and you are town, we mislynch.

To be fair, the only other benefit to him not claiming is in the off chance I did Stalk last night and my target has not been declared yet, so him keeping it a secret might prevent me from knowing if it would be safe to murder tonight. That should be pretty unlikely as the obvious targets to try and hide a murder under have already been claimed; but there is that. But I agree, TNM needs to claim his target.

I see your point Seacore but you also illustrated my point, if I'm not confirmed tomorrow then I'm "caught" and mislynched, which would be okay if that meant my target was 100% scum but it doesn't, because it could be a town player who was rezzed and ritualised.

Anyway, I want to hear what everyone else has to say before I do anything.

In that worst case scenario, TNM, you've still dictated who the cult will ritual, which is better than them killing someone who is pro-town.

The fact that he's stalking you is the main reason i think it's okay to claim it now, seeing as he's potentially confirmable himself. He's not my top scum pick, I would much rather have stalked somebody like kunkstar, but the only way to guarantee (or at least give myself the best chance at) a successful stalk was to stalk somebody not on the stalk targets list, and VPB I find the scummiest out of everyone else, mainly because he got real defensive after i said he should stalk again yesterday. Like I said in my first post of today, if you don't like it, blame Benmage for putting me in this position.

Anyway, I understood what you guys meant by catching scum, but if VPB is cult, enough people think he is town so that he may be rezzed by town anyway, making it impossible draw scum connections from rezzes, which is why I was more concerned with confirming myself. I'm not as confident with him being cult now that he's claimed a successful stalk, it could be a gambit, but we'll see tomorrow anyway.

And can we please test for at least a few suicidals today? I think it would be stupid not to when there's a good chance that cult members secretly picked that insanity.

Also I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the fake rez gambit by Nico, it's not that outlandish that they would forgo one ritual to save a member on the chopping block, particularly if their chances are in the toilet.
