1 - do we know that Reck is actively aligned with the enemy? (btw... who is our enemy in this setup?)
2 - if not, is there a chance that Reck is aligned with the town?
3 - if we lynch him today and nothing happens, and then lynch him tomorrow, and nothing happens either day, aren't we basically giving any scumteam two free nights to kill?
4 - how do we know that certain factions will not become more powerful after his death? What if one of the people pushing for his lynch need his blood/head/etc. for extra power? I played in a bastard mod like this over marathon.
1) Not w/out a sane investigation. But Modscum last game is worth the chance of a mislynch this.
2) See 1)
3) If D1 lynch does nothing, we wouldn't use D2 trying the same thing.
4) Again, risk. But few WoW chars actually use pieces of others for their own gain. (Illidan and Gul'dan's Skull in W3 for example). And that a lyncher would need the
So it seems there is a third force afoot here, something other than horde and alliance? If both horde and alliance win when "there are no more threats to Azeroth" then perhaps third party forces........ like the mod....... could be lynched.
I was under the impression that we're not supposed to quote PMs. What other third parties could there be? SK? Fool? Lyncher? Cult? If Lyncher or Fool won, would the game end, or would they simply fulfill their win conditions and everyone else would keep playing?

Scum #1 here.
He dies after the mod.
Yes my Lord, but questions are dangerous, for they have answers.
13 heads and counting now, plurality is adaptive. If our experience might help you,
People said that whenever I asked questions like that during the Marathon, and every time I was town and the people claiming it was scum were scum themselves. Asking role questions about a weird setup is not scummy; however, snapping at anyone trying to get a sense of what the hell is going on certainly is. Do you already have all the answers about how this setup works, Lamdadelta, that you don't need to ask questions because you already know who, or what, the opposing factions are?
In a Cult confirmed game... gee, I wonder what other third parties might be afoot...
It should be noted that no where in the sign up thread, nor this thread, has any mention of Horde or Alliance being aligned (or maligned, what have you). All we know is there is a Cult. In a game such as WoW, where Alliance and Horde is equally split (for the most part), and the determination of good and evil depends on the side of the fight you are, I see no reason to disbelieve Horde and Alliance not both being town atm. Consider that in the grand scheme of WoW, Horde and Alliance have common enemies...
If this is a bastard mod, I will be a sad panda. Would remind me of Haylen's "Earth Struggle" Mafia... I hated the ending of that thing.

His post before that claimed scum too.

Actually, I was trying to imply that you are showing a TMI scum tell here...
You're jumping VERY quickly to the assumption that both Hoard and Alliance are town, and that a third party scum team exists outside those two...
Almost like you know?
It's scummy. And besides that, I have a gut read on you. You're super passive.

Fair enough about the cult.
But from Krazy's post, we can assume one of two things:
He's either cult, trying to throw away suspicion
Or
He didn't know about the cult.
Assuming the second one, my point about him assuming a third party scum team still stands.

Actually this post is weird... he doesn't ask for what I find scummy about him... he instead jumps to a conclusion about what was scummy in his post...
Almost like he was looking for his own scum tells to try and avoid them?

We know there's a cult (likely death knight/liche king aligned) but I wasn't expecting there to be only a cult. And I CERTAINLY didn't think, given that my WC is titled 'For the alliance' that alliance scum makes that much sense. I suppose you could have alliance races that aren't alliance-aligned, like the Orange traitors in WCII.
Shotty, quote your WC and the bolded bit preceding it, please.
Krazy, the rules of this game state specifically that you can quote your role PM, so good job with having read them and everything.
I know a bit about the flavor and have played casually for a while.
For those asking, in the game, Horde and Alliance are the two factions players choose to play, and they don't get along with each other but they have common enemies to kill (thus balancing content for both sides). Common enemies include power-mad/insane individuals such as Kael and Arthas as well as demons like Kil'Jaedan who have cult followings, the elder gods like Yoggy and Rag who also have cult followings, and even dragons like Deathwing. There are groups like the Defias or the Bloodsails who are basically pirates/thieves/etc. types. Plenty of enemies to go around.
