it seems to the outside observer that tans decided to move on, probably did so on the server less than gracefully, and now reck (and to an extent dram) is being a cunt about it

is this a fair summary of events

because it's getting kind of annoying and i don't want to when i log back in on sunday just have to listen to people bitching about drama shit all day

Current tier of raiding isn't all it's cracked up to be. BBM and I got to 7/12 over the course of 2 days with a semi-PuG (it was a group of random people, but was mostly set up in advance, and most of the group was the same between the two days), and none of those fights were particularly interesting.

Magmaw - Stand there and dps, pop bloodlust during spike phase.
Omnitron - Don't stand in shit, keep one move interrupted, and switch every time one of them gets to 50% energy
Maloriak - Stack during red phase, spread during blue phase, kill adds during green phase
Atramedes - Don't stand in shit, know how to use the gongs

Halfus - Kill dragons, then get massive damage boost and kill boss.
Valiona and Theralion - Don't stand in shit, switch dragons when one takes off and the other lands, stack for the dispel, stay spread otherwise.
Ascendant Council (the only fight that's CLOSE to interesting) - phase 1 run through fire when you get the water debuff, all switch to fire guy when he pops a shield, get them both to 25% at the same time ... phase 2 get levitate buff before quake and grounded buff before thunderstorm thingy, dont stand in eruption, and get to edge of room when you've got lightning rod ... phase 3 make sure the boss stays out of the circles he spawns, pop bloodlust, and kill him before the large amounts of raid damage kills everyone.

In other news, tans IS apparently still tanking for us. He had no problem tanking 10m Baradin Hold when I asked him to earlier today.

I can understand their frustration at not having a tank. I play WoW to play with my friends. When my friends have moved on to other guilds in the past (thus deserting the guild we built), I haven't been happy about it.

With the new guild achievements and such, it makes it worse because as dram said, even if he is tanking, some things may not get credited as a guild achievement since he won't be in the guild.

Also you say "guild we built" well Reck doesn't seem to realize that - not sure why everyone from site wasn't an officer, he kept most of us at a lower rank, and had a special "rank" just for me that I wasn't too impressed with. Also the MotD for a long time and changing my note (which I was fine with at start cuz I could change. It back and also change his which I thought amusing - until he took away that option for me)

You get some even for 3/5. They changed the system recently:

Guild members can contribute experience to their guild level by completing quests, daily quests, killing dungeon and raid bosses with a group comprised of at least 80% guild members, and winning rated Battleground matches with a group comprised of at least 80% guild members.

An exception to the 80% rule is for five-person dungeons, which only require 3/5 people to be in the guild to earn guild experience and achievements. The amount of experience gained scales, with 3/5 guild members granting 50% normal guild xp, 4/5 giving 100%, and 5/5 giving 125% guild xp. The amount gained from each boss scales with your level relative to the boss's level, with Heroic bosses worth even more (1.5x). It pays off to have a full group of guild members!

Anyhow, moral of this story is: more of you should roll tanks. Seriously, tanking is awesome.

First off, you were talking about us not having enough guildies to raid, to which I pointed out that we're progressing and will soon have 6-7 people at level 85. You THEN went on to bring up "not enough achievements", and that is when I said "Who cares about achievements?". Also, for us "not getting achievements", or "not caring about achievements", you should probably tell BBM to stop doing battlegrounds for the sole purpose of getting all the Slayer achievements, and you should probably tell dram/Kai/BBM to stop wasting time running every old world heroic and every expansion heroic in order to get the guild run achievements for those, and you should probably tell everyone else that leveling up isn't doing enough to contribute to the guild achievements.

We did build this guild. Not everyone is officers yet because we have like eight fucking members total, so if we make everyone officers and then start recruiting, how is that going to fucking look?

I have no hard feelings. I do, however, have a problem with how you decided it was okay for you to talk shit (which is totally fine, I love talking shit) but couldn't handle it when it was thrown back at you in a similar manner. I never took anything personal when everyone was giving me shit for how horrible I am at playing my shadow priest. So I don't understand why this has suddenly become personal.

the "i thought we were friends" excuse is kind of bullshit here, if he hated us:

A) he wouldn't have left everything he did
B) he wouldn't be agreeing to continue tanking for us
C) he wouldn't have bought Cay that extra month when she almost ran out
D) he wouldn't have bought me WotLK out of the blue for no real discernible reason

tans is/was, by far, probably the single most monetarily (in terms of real world currency at least, not sure on the current gold:usd rate to compare fully) invested in the guild, and seems like the person who was most invested in the progress of the guild as a whole

i think that if he had decided to leave, we should have accepted that gracefully instead of acting like a bunch of 2 year olds over it for no discernible reason whatsoever

You forgot to add "dont stand in the shit" to phase 3 of council and Magmaw's don't stand in the shit for the one person not standing there dpsing.

i would say that argument would be less bullshit were it not for the increased privileges re: guild bank, etc that officers and etc are generally extended as part of the default guild setup

Honestly, I don't see any reason for officers in a guild the size of ours. You don't exactly need structure for the 8 people that play in the guild. We can all invite, we can all change public notes. What else do you want to do for fucks sake?
