What should I run next?
I'm currently in the middle of designing the Harry Potter Large Theme that will be comin' up this summer, and Mass Effect Mafia (covering the first game) is on its way out the door and into the Queue as well. After those finish I'm having trouble deciding what to run next. Mass Effect 2 Mafia is going to be either an esurio-mod or an Umbrage-mod, depending on credentials/timing/etc. I'm going to stay on to design/co-mod, but it's a team effort and I want each of us to have our name on one of them as the main mod.
The ideas I'm playing around with (some are more concrete than others at this stage) are as follows:
The Brave and the Beautiful 2, which would be a follow up to the Brave and the Beautiful, which was a lot of fun to mod and to create the setup and write flavor for. Last time, I did a lot of the design and all of the modding myself (thanks to SK and Plum for help with the setup, and to SK for co-modding), but this time I would probably want to bring somebody else on to add their own unique touches to it. The game would will probably still be a mini, but with 13 players this time around (would likely be a 3:1:9 setup, in fact).
A reworked version of a previous Metropolis game. By the time Metropolis: Revisited ends, that'll be a lot of trips to the Metropolis universe. It's not especially unique in terms of theme and setting, but I do my best to try to add a good amount of flavor in there. I think with a few minor tweaks, both Metropolis: Redemption and Metropolis: Revisited would be decent choices to re-run. Metropolis: Revisited is already a remix of the original Metropolis game, so anything further would be the third iteration of the "large" Metropolis setup, with the Inner Circle, etc. The smaller one would be a 3:1:9 mini, most likely.
A completely new and different Metropolis game. I've got plenty of ideas for Metropolis: Revelation (was supposed to be the third mafia game, but due to certain reasons, I delayed it until after Metropolis: Redemption and Metropolis: Revisited). It was under active development by myself and a number of other moderators, but it kind of fizzled out because of the setup being too complicated. I am currently looking for a dedicated and experienced co-moderator/co-setup designer who has a lot of time on their hands and is good at making ideas work together. I want M:Revelation to be #5, but if it's just too big to do right now, I'm fine with waiting until later. One of the main things I'd need for this to run would be private subforums that related to each different location on the "game map". This has been done before, but apparently it's not a very common thing, sadly.
His Dark Materials Mafiais a mafia game based on the entire trilogy called His Dark Materials, which includes The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass. It's a Large theme game on the large side, with about 28 players in the setup. Kdub was the setup co-designer, and is the co-mod. We both designed the game from the ground up, and think it'll be pretty fun. This one's also like Metropolis: Revelation though, where there are a ton of mechanics we want to add, but feel technically limited by the site so we don't feel we should run the game like that, and have (over?)simplified it to the point of being a mostly Normal game type.
Underworld Mafia. Now before I say anything else, I absolutely love the flavor backdrop for Underworld. The first time I saw this movie, I almost yelled for happiness because it was finally a cool, modern, vampire vs werewolf story with plenty of guns and 'espionage' and stuff involved. This setup would most assuredly have all of the coolest things about Underworld in it, and would be based mostly on the original movie and the first sequel, Evolution. Of course, due to the nature of the vampires and werewolves, there would be dueling cults in this game. The setup would be made for about 16-24 characters.
TRON Legacy Mafiawould mostly cover exactly that, TRON Legacy (not so much the orig), and would be a mini-theme with 12-13 players, most likely. I really like the flavor behind this game, and even though I think it'd fit better as a Mini Normal, I don't think the Mini Normal people would let me run a setup with this much possibility for exorbitant flavor, in the Mini Normal queue. This one would probably feature mostly Normal roles as well, but no promises. There is always room in a good RC game for a little bit of surprise and consternation!Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" Huh? If it's based on source material, it can't be in a Normal queue. "Theme" doesn't HAVE to mean wacky roles/mechanics, though.Retired as of October 2014.-

I'd like underworld, with tron as a second choice. I know nothing about the metropolis or B&B prequels, and HDM might be fun, but I know nothing about the source material.
@Flay: pretty sure RC was just commenting about how he felt TRON legacy would be more or less normal mechanics set to the T:L story/flavor.-

Yeah, I have talked about it before. We have backburned and unbackburned that game so many times it's not even funny.
I was thinking about making a custom framework for different worlds, programmed in PHP, but I don't have the time/resources to dedicate to making one of those at the moment (I also have a realllllly cool idea for Mass Effect involving party systems, items, locations, etc). And doing a game like that over regular forums is fraught with logistical problems. Not to mention flavor problems (which I'm not so worried about, but the logistical problems appear nearly impossible to overcome). It'd really require absolute control over particular sub-forums, and who has access to which, at different times, etc. I'm not sure that's feasible but I have talked about it a bit with mith. The answer was something like "that's possible, it's kind of what I did for the California trilogy" or some such, but it was a while ago, so I forget.Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" B&B2 would sound pretty exciting; as it's full of loopholes, surprises and pretty rainbows too 8D.
It sounds pretty, despite skimming through the stuff a bit too.
I watched Underworld before. I don't remember much from it, but it was kick-ass.
I can't choose between the two.I blame you for this.
For I have been awaiting for another heart pounding segment ofDokidoki Precure!
