Did a read up myself tonight, started writing down my thoughts then looked at the clock and it's 1.12am, so put down the pen and paper and am dragging myself off to bed.... I may not managed to finish it tomorrow (2 kiddies + sunday + food shop = nightmare) But the kids are in school all day monday so i should be ok to devote some time then.

So.... eventually, somehow, we're going to have to figure out who we're going to string up. Any ideas how to do it?

My logic stands.. vote for me... that'll give the other Town people some indication of who's scummy, so they'll lynch the Mafia, and I'll win the the Town. :)

But not *everyone* who votes for you can be scum. At most 2 of them can. Assuming that you're town, how does that help us tomorrow when we have to lynch correctly or lose the game?

You're looking a bit suspect to me now... a little
too
unconcerned about being lynched.

Hmph, well I'm here but I haven't really seen anything to reply to or anything... This is a dead town, we need a Fritzler to come in and stir some action...

If indeed you are a townie, why would you want to lynch yourself? Why go to lylo if we don't have to? I think that if we do lynch you than either 1) scum will avoid being on the lynching, because you said that they would be, or 2) it won't tell us much about who's who, same reasoning, or 3) both. I don't understand your logic. It's better to get solid info (ie. if we lynch scum) than speculative info (ie. if we lynch you, as you say). In some cases, the more somebody says something is good for the town, the more I find them suspicious. :?

Ameliaslay; what do you think about the Creed lynching plan?

Well, if he's not town... he's a really blatant scum. To me it seems too obvious a gambit for him... but if he's asking for it, I'm always happy to oblige.

Ok...maybe this will help: summery of (slightly?) suspicious posts so far:
CreedP wrote:All right - so if a 'no lynch' vote is not in our best interests, then what is? We randomly take someone out and hang them and hope for the best? :) /// So ... what then, pick the person who's tagline / avatar seems the most suspicious?
Creed sugests random voting for poor reasons. Not really suspicious, but it caught my eye.
bertrand wrote:
unvote, vote stark

Anxious to start a bandwagon, aren't we?
bertand voting wrong...prbably an honest mistake, but you never know.
starkmoon wrote:for now an FOS at bigal.. he seems to be harping on with the 'i said everything is scummy' thing, even re quoting it

not enough there to warrant a third vote
FoSing me for a joke, and IMO overexagerating about it.
CreedP wrote:Still lurking and listening, watching and trying to make sense of it all - though yesterday WAS a sick day with good reason...

Vote: bigAl
just because the avatar keeps staring at me.. making me feel very nervous... like I'm being watched... <shivers>

(and yes, that could be perceived as bandwagon-ing.. but considering its already been said that its a Mafia tactic, only a townie or a fool would do it, which means I'm one of the two, heh)
Third vote on no evidence, even while admiting that it is a scummy thing to do.
CreedP wrote:
unvote:Big Al
See? :)

Well, hmm, you guys are making a pretty convincing case for that Creed fellow - but I couldn't vote for him even if he wasn't me, or I'd be bandwagonning (again) and clearly be scum.

Of course, it seems to me that if no one can cast that 3rd vote, Day 1 is eternal is no one will ever die. Interesting... /// ...so cast a third vote for me, since I'm 'clearly' scummy, then at least the 6 of you left can get something going...
Wanting to vote for himself. Very odd. I still don't really know what to make of this.
TripMyWire, last Wednesday wrote:Sorry for the inactivity, but... well, I simply forgot about the game... so, oops. I'm gonna read up on the game later and I'll post some stuff then.
It's been almost a week since last post; I can only assume that he forgot about us again. I'd like to hear from him soon.

There was one other post that I had found, but I forget what it was now. Creed is the guy who stands out the most right now, but not necessarily as scum. :?:

I've been here all along, but don't always see the point in posting when I have nothing to say. That's just me, though. :)

I just know this game has been going for quite some time with several people all looking at each other, saying nothing less they be suspected of being Mafia, but not wanting to point fingers at each other either.. because that might be scummy too.

I tell ya, this is like some twisted exercise in paranoia..

So hey, if wanting to move things along, even if in the wrong direction is perceived as scummy... what the hey, might as well sit on the gallows and wait to swing anyway. You'll find out I'm town after I'm dead, then you'll have grounds to point fingers and cast shadows, heh.

Stop offering yourself up for a lynch target and posy something constructive such as I think so and so is scummy because of such and such post. We will never get anywhere lynching you, if you truly are town because that would be a wasted lynch.

I'm happy with either Creed... not 100% sure though. I think that vote and the fact that he keeps offering himself for a lynch is enough.

I'm sticking with bertrand.

I have not played with Creed before, but it seems to me that it would be unusual for a mafia member to offer themselves up for lynching... and let down their partner. I think it's much more likely he's townie.

BigAl: before you go, are there any confessions you wanna make? Like that you are bertrand's scum partner or anything? :P

They do that as WIFOM. When people do that I usually completely ignore it.

You could try and apply WIFOM (wine in front of me.... from princess bride, for those unfamiliar with the term) to just about anything that people do, bertrand. I think that term is over-emphasised in mafia games. I think it's much more useful to take notice of peoples' behaviours and try and figure out if it points to them being scum or not, than to ignore stuff due to WIFOM

Have i mentioned that I'm happy with my vote?

*Blush* soz guys n gals I got invaded last week and didnt even check my email for 5 days.

I read through again and really can't pick anything new up.. or at least everything i did pick up looked like grasping at straws on a second glance. About the only things I noticed were Bertrands revote on me which is probably just a simple mistake and Creeds vote for BigAl's avatar, which i have already said about. All in all colour me stumped..

So am I, but Tally is becoming a more interesting choice. She seems convinced I'm scum for some reason.

I still think Creed is using WIFOM.

So, along that line of thought, wouldn't it be an interesting scum pair, Tally and Creed?
