To you, maybe. The Jester's goal is to get lynched, and in doing so, everyone who voted for them can't do anything the following turn. That has a lot of potential.

No, you cannot. Feel free to re-read the rules and look for one that states lying about game mechanics is not allowed if you don't believe me.

In fact i'm pretty sure there are a few games on the site that were actually won because of scum lying about game machanics.

Like any player they want to play to their wincon. If their wincon states that they win with the town then they're just going to play like a townie.

Officially, the Jester is part of the Town and therefore wins if the Town wins.

Just because something is not clearly stated to be against the rules, that doesn't mean it's fine. There are some things that should just be common sense.

In which case the Jester is a town power role and plays as such. In fact, the Jester as you described it would

want to get lynched most of the time, as he will probably end up causing more harm to the town than to any of the scum factions.

The Jester is not officially a power role, since it can't really do anything on its own. The fact is, that the Jester does want to get lynched. If the player does not wish to, however, it's not a requirement.

And you are not everyone.O_o Just because you think what he did is fine, does not mean everyone does.

That's not normally how a jester works. Normally it's third party with no town/mafia affiliation. I still think it's bizarre to have third party box-granted roles in this game though, so hey!

This game! It's moving so fast! And after 31 pages, I don't really see nothing that triggers my scumdar except for Yami's posting. The Post restrictions seem bad, they make me afraid of opening my box.
