OKAY SO I just started Season 1 tonight (tried to last night but shit came up). Brock & I sat through the first half of the episodes (literally just spent six hours straight marathoning it, yay for not going to work with any sleep at all) and HOLY FUCK
THE GOLDEN CROWN WAS INTENSE AS FUCK AND NOW I LIKE DAENYRS SO MUCH MORE, AS WELL AS DROGO
.
I can't help but feel the sidetrack with Lady Stark's sister and the whole dwarf imprisonment thing was a bit of a boring sidetrack, but oh well
Also they keep mentioning dragons oh fuck yes please tell me there's dragons at some point. Also I know this is all fantasy-medieval-epic and shit but I'm guessing it's not quite Lord of the Rings where there's goblins and creatures and magick being used right
It annoyed me because it made her seem totally inept, cowardly, and unsympathetic. I understand the relevance to the plot, though you could place the blame at earlier stages, too, I think.

ah yes 'seem' inept....
'seem'
>_>
<_<
uh, it doesn't make her cowardly though, if anything it was brave... (stupid of course but brave!)
are you thinking of me when you're with somebody else?

correct, for the most part. there's magic to some degree but it always takes a background seat.

During one of the episodes, Brock & I paused to note that the logo had four animal heads poking out. We figured the wolf's head was Stark and the dragon's head was the blonde-haired-barbarian-people, and the stag's head/lion's head were answered quickly.
I think the scene where she arrests Tyrion was pretty badass and led to both Catelyn and Tyrion getting +like points.
The cowardly part was later when she was in her sister's castle. Even though Tyrion had just contributed to saving her life and she seemed to have some doubt about his guilt, she was unwilling to stand up to her sister, even in private.
Favorite scene so far is when Littlefinger and Varys have their confrontation in the throne room. Littlefinger is one of my favorite characters so far. I generally dislike the entire house of Stark except for Eddard. They make for such boring characters.
Conversely, everyone in the Royal Family is full of so much vibrance that I can't help but love them (even if it is love to hate them). I cheered out loud when the King backhanded the Queen in Eddard's recovery chamber.

I clearly labeled them, but I'll do my best.

fair point, I forgot how cliched her story was in GoT.
Also, you liked Eddard? I found him about as boring as you claim the rest of the Starks are.
Littlefinger's definitely pretty awesome though. An excellent schemer.
