I don't mind the look. But can they act the part? I agreed with Tyrion. I didn't like how he wasn't as deformed as described in the book. But bloody hell was the acting spot on that I didn't care.

Tyrion doesn't have the best English accent that I've heard, but that can be hard when he's acting alongside people who actually have the accents, and I forgive him for being awesome in every other way.

With the possible exception of Sansa, the acting has been spot on so far, I don't see a reason to doubt it now.

I think they'll look good. Stannis is pretty much how I imagined him. Melisandre just needs some red contacts.

I think it's mainly that Whedon shows get canceled.

She didn't get Angel canceled, for example. Not that she had any kind of significant role.

Which reminds me that I also love Amy Acker.

I don't think it was at all "inept" of her, I think it was very intelligently done. She just didn't know her sister had gone completely batshit insane in the years since she'd seen her last.

She ignores Tyrion's warning about her sister. Then she doesn't follow through on her insistence that Tyrion is "her prisoner" and not to be harmed. Then she fails at securing a Tully/Stark alliance in spite of a blood relationship.

That's unsympathetic-cowardly-inept.

Meh. They kind of skimmed over it in the TV series, although it was implied, but in the book I think she came out looking pretty awesome. It's interesting, actually. In a way, they're both where they need to be.
