For the record, I find Pine's lack of activity to be frustratingly null--he's done it pretty much across the site.

Quite frankly, I think he overextended himself, in a period where he had too many incidents of (unannounced) V/LAs. (Speaking from past experience, regrettably. [My last visit before I flaked in '09 was in early August.] The number of games he's in would be fine...if he didn't suffer from setbacks of Real-Life. With said setbacks, he'll give short bursts of activity to one or two games at a time. He'll get around to us...eventually. I can't say when that'll be, though.)

Anyway, bit busy celebrating my birthday in real life, and on my desktop rather than laptop. Later tonight, I'll see what I'm able to do. I want to have viewed the whole game and be sure of my scumteam proposal--so far, it's looking mighty apetizing. (Additionally, other potential suspects are making themselves look good on a reread.)

Dear gawd - why did we extend deadline?
Why am I being prodded for this gakky three pages of mindless mumbling with a general consensus that we should hammer Parama/Bowser?

COuld someone grow a set, stop pretending to be pro town, and just hammer the jerk already? We were going to do this something like a week or two ago and we've spent two weeks generating like five pages of nothing while everyone is obviouslly going to lynch Prama. It's not like there's even a wagon push remotely in the ballpark of competing - town is shriveling up into a useless ball due to lack of flips - I'm openly stating I will happily hammer any other player put up to seven votes at this stage, seriously. Hear that scum? Start a speed alternate wagon and watch me smash it through for you just for yucks.

@Everyone - who is against this Parama lynch? Seriously? If you're not against it, why aren't you voting him yet? I swear, half the people not on this wagon have expressed approval of it while still poking around and doing other things - what is that?

Some members of the opera company worked so well together that they were almost always cast in paired roles. Their harmonies were effortless and their comedic timing impeccable. Their dressing rooms were next to each other, all in a row, and they had the habit of spending a lot of time together outside of rehearsal. They each thought they would know if one of the others was up to no good - but truthfully, one of them was. He knew the others well enough to trick them, or so he thought. But he couldn't hide his nefarious intentions well enough. First other members of La Scallop and then his closest friends began to turn on him.

"La Scallop needs a new direction," he shouted as he was dragged off the premises. "We're resting on our laurels, making money off of an imposter instead of striving for true art. Someone has to make the change!"

The company of La Scallop rose to meet a new day of rehearsal. Luckily, they had managed to pass off the alien bit as a very cool bit of special effects, but the patrons were now extra interested and the company still had no one to sing the lead role. So it was back to the drawing board, with investors clamoring for something to show for their money.

The stage director thought the company would be revitalized that they'd caught one of the bad guys, but it wasn't so. It was hard to believe that someone as talented as Bowser could do such a thing, and the paranoia that even your closest friend could be one of the ones doing this was starting to take its toll.

The frenzy wasn't lessened by the discovery of two new bodies.

One lay on the front step outside the opera house. It was Meransiel, a very rich patron who demanded to be allowed access to La Scallop as if he were part of the company. It annoyed most, but he contributed so much money that it had to be tolerated - and everyone had been feeling especially grateful to Meransiel lately for his loyalty. Even throughout the controversy, he had stuck with La Scallop and had been particularly gung ho in the search for the killers; several times, he had been spotted following around some members of the company, trying to catch someone in the act. Perhaps Meransiel had been

too

gung ho. His loyalty had gotten him shot.

Shaky though they were, the company was even more on edge after the discovery of the second body. Petroleumjelly, a chorus member, had been found in the bathroom, just like PBuG.

Bowser had been telling the truth; he wasn't alone. What was left of the company had to find his partners, and fast.
