hahryuu is new, so I don't care about his early vote. DH's response to it is reasonable. It was quite a townie way to start the game. It got us out of RVS quickly and it was aggressive.

But there's just one thing about what you did... you voted for someone without any logic or reasoning at all(RVS logic or not) and in the RVS that is scummy.

There is no reason why failing to provide RVS reasoning should be scummy. This is dumb scum making up a reason to say something is scummy.

Also, it is way too early to be calling anyone scum. Seriously, we're on page one.

When I originally posted I had seen a discussion going on about Link being really good and wondering if he was an alt. I was merely adding my input to this discussion, as I thought it was game-related. I had only skimmed at this point, rather than read through the whole game.

is annoying in that it's the second maru post where he promises content. having played with maru briefly before, i remember more macro images than content, but I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised :p

I'm inclined to disagree. At best, my play is evolving. But then, those are the results of playing in 4 games at the same time for a relatively new player. I play the same way that I always do all the time because my playstyle is completely independent of my role.

Fair enough. Up until 30 minutes ago I was in 6 games with a seventh in queue, now only 5 with a 6th in queue. I would agree, I play the same way as either town or scum.

I'm just going to introduce you to rule i forgot to put in at the beginning:

19 1/2. If you flake in my game without a valid reason (valid reason being ill, computer broke etc.) you will be unable to join another of my games for 3 months, do it again and you will never be able to play my game again.

This is to keep flaking at the minimum and keep your game running efficiently.

re-read my cases. I said the DH vs Ryu based solely on THEIR interaction with each other was possible town-town. I then went on to call DH's interactions with OTHER players, scummy.

Also, I am lecturing him on not putting anything in the "" in his quotes. I at least put SOMETHING, and you can understand my references even if I typoed them.

If I was jumping the bandwaggon, don't you think I would have done so without having first called it town-town, and also while it was still at L-2 or L-1, before everyone unvoted? Demon I didn't want to be a dick. BLAME SPOON. In any game, and I'm going to generalize here, there is always wide margin of skill. Lets say Albert has been playing chess for ten years. Little Bobbie comes along, a novice of only two years, and absolutely crushes Albert 9 times out of 10. Bobbie is just better at chess than Albert. Albert plays and plays, then plays some more - but he will never be as good as Bobbie. I'm not some super great mafia player. I'm pretty terrible. I've already roughly made threeish mistakes I wish I could take back. My assessment of you is nothing personal. Just blow it off. Its just one man's opinion.

Demon, a question for you. Why did you take it upon yourself to answer my request in #26 then proceed to not really say anything?

1. You say you dont have a meta but contradict yourself by saying you play quietly as scum.
2. "Go review my games" is not an adequate response to my post in #26 by any standard. So why even say it.

Demon's initial reaction to ryuu could be considered townie response, considering his level of passion. But said passion only came after he was bullied into justifications. Demon assumes town is a certain way only and anything that deviates from what he conceives of what town should be is suspect. It doesn't seem like he's willing to account for the fact that ryuu might be a noob, or that simply that there is not alot of weight attached to the attack on him. There are countless variables he seems unwilling to account for. It seems fishy. His past few posts have been a little off. "Hikari and Emp are town" - "Link are you so sharp/experienced". Seems like a nice little detour for the pressure on him.
