Smoothest Operator
should be more of a Body Of Work award instead of a single game. A Mod can have a great game, and thats great. He could do a really good job, but if he doesn't show that same devotion and care to his other games, it doesn't really make him the Smoothest Operator.
This makes a lot of sense to me -- only concern is that it might stop a mod who only mods once a year winning but I see your overall point actually.
I think that these awards are very flexible. The point of the award stays the same, but the details of the nominations are different. I think we could figure out a way to make it work for both types of Mods.
Also,
Nominate Thor665 for Best Performance in a Losing Cause
For his work in this game,
Newbie 1114.
I understand this is a Newbie, but let me sell it to you.
He replaces into the game Day One. So he pretty much played all game. They get a claim from the JK and they get a mislynch ( not on the JK). Then Night One they nail the Cop. Day Two his partner dies.
This is the part where this nomination comes in. Since the town had decided that the JK would Jail a specific player, Thor No-Kills. Hoping to get an easy mislynch. Unfortunately this fails, as the JK didn't send in an action. Making his entire plan go down the drain and he lost a kill. Then he goes into Day Two where mykonian steps up and pegs Thor as scum. But since mykonian was scummier than Thor665, he was mislynched. Thor being the grand architect of his death secretly. Then he goes after the JK, because now the JK thinks he is scum, so there is nothing he can do about it. So he attempts, failing due to JK.
Now its Day Four. The scum is either Thor or the JK. But because of two no kills. He would have to conduct two mislynches in order to win. Which was terribly unlikely. It was going to happen, it was a losing cause.
But Thor, being the sportsman he is, pulled out every card he could think of and played it against the Town. The Town almost decided to kill the Jailkeeper. Unfortunately, he did lose. But that does not mean he did not do any excellent job.
Not only did he play excellent, the entire time he was writing down the reasons for his actions in the Mafia QT so the Newbies post game could learn from his play.
If that doesn't call for a nomination, I don't know what does.
Yes, its a newbie. Yes, he did lose. But he did an excellent job.
