Way more, yeah. MS *might* have more registered members, but EM certainly have more active ones, and they did start as late as 2009 IIRC so... yeah...

You should probably test it just for a couple of games. When my self confidence is low I use to play a couple of games on EM to boost my confidence.

You don't have to play a Newbie Game (but it's very much recommended). To /in to a game you open the queue forum and either type "/in" in the Newbie Queue if it's a Newbie Game, "/in" in the relevant game thread if it's a Large Normal and so.
