Edit : Well, we now have the confirmation that marines are good against mass lings. I never thought Stephano would try this ladder strategy on aLive he lost to during the#2 qualifier.

Marines are pretty good yes and people aren't going to be using their real builds yet as the pool play is essentially meaningless so most people aren't going to reveal anything major until the elimination bracket starts up.

Ladder fear ?
Custom maps are fun but there are no SC2. Of course Blizzard ladder maps are flawed but that was the case with SC too. After a few year, the korean maps overtook everything. So far The Planetary Workshop and ESV.tv are creating very interesting and balanced maps (I'm not counting the Koreans of Prime). I think Blizzard will incorporate more community maps in Season 4. At least I hope so.

Honestly, I could see a few players bombing/fucking around on the pool stages to avoid stronger players in the actual elimination bracket. It's something well known as a Korean tactic in WCG to play either foolish strategies or all-in repeatedly to avoid playing fellow Koreans earlier than the quarterfinals and/or semifinals of the bracket.

Yeah that's plausible, particularly since Stephano already did it in Assembly Summer to avoid Sen and failed to lose against Brat_OK. He ultimately won against Sen but it could well be that he was chilling.
I loved what MC did. It was something innovative and way stronger than it former kind of cheesy style.
