based on Mafia of the Chosen Ones (link goes to the game action summary, use this link for the thread if you don't want to be spoiled). Not only did he do well at eliminating scum all game, but managed to

engineer a win for both himself and town in a 1:1:1 that should have been a kingmaker scenario by convincing the last remaining town member to go through with the plan "I make both you a dayvig doctor and myself a dayvig, then you protect yourself from me overnight and we dayvig each other simultaneously for the win"

. I know I'd have been fooled as town in that ending, and I'm not sure why none of the events from the game were nominated yet.

Bit of friendly advice, Beck--posts like these will endear you to very few people on these boards. Self nomming for your performance in a newbie game? Please flip through a few of Setael's games and tell me why you deserve the best replacement scummy more than she does. I'm really eager to hear your reasons.

3rd party wins are tough enough, but when you pull it off in a large game where you had to replace into a shaky playslot, that takes some chops.

thanks for the advice, it isn't up to me to decide if I should win or not, I just felt that in my 3rd post of the game I knew who the final 2 scum was, I was able to convince the remaining town to follow me when my slot was everyone's choice for the final lynch. The game actually should have been over but one of the scum wasn't on when town voted DK at the beginning of that day phase and if they had scum would have quick lynched for the win.

to overcome those odds, with someone who is horribly bad player like DK is impressive, newbie game or not. I didn't see anywhere that said newbie games are excluded.

regardless if it is a newbie game or not, to catch scum on your 3rd post after replacing in and convincing everyone to follow you is impressive, i'm sorry I didn't do it in a normal or a large game, but it doesn't make it any less impressive.

and I am sure Setael's play is deserving of a nom too, and maybe even the win, but is a nomination to be considered too much to ask? no

like i said, I knew I was going to be ridiculed, but this was probably my best performance on this site and considering I haven't been on here that long and have had many learning curves (I mean my first game ever I was lynched Day 1 as the vig) technically I am a newbie so my performance in a newbie game should earn some sort of respect.
