To me it looks like DBG is trying to set herself up for a cushy rest-of-game. I don't buy the kamikaze theory at all. Note how she now requests for the town not to vig her, she wants the mafia to do it, which of course they won't if she's telling the truth, becuase it would be silly to nk a player who doesn't want to win, and if she's lying then she won't do it becuase she's mafia.
unvote : Vote DrippingGoofball
I think this is mafia (or another anti-town role) taking a gamble. Even if she doesn't get lynched though, she would make a beautiful vig target.-

Thinking about it, here's our possibilities that I see:
-DG is telling the truth.
-DG is some sort of post-restricted pro-town role that needs to be lynched in order to get an ability.
-DG is scum trying to slip by with this kind of a claim.
In all three cases, there is no actual downside to lynching him.

The downside of the first option is that we lynch a neutral instead of trying to lynch scum.Shamrock wrote:Thinking about it, here's our possibilities that I see:

Interesting idea, Masterchief. I hadn't thought of that, but it's possible.#greenshirtthursdays-

Why I am still posting if I lost? I like to talk, what can I say. Plus, there *may* be a few interesting turns, who knows? I'm in for the fun, as always. And much to my delight, this game is turning to be rather fun for me, even though I am so tragically role-challenged. Winning isn't everything. You win when you have fun, and when people have fun playing with you.
For the record, I have no post restriction.
You guys are there inventing all kinds of theories, lyncher, kamikaze and whatnot. You're complicating things for nothing. I am not trying to confuse anyone, I am trying to be as clear as I can without quoting my PM. It is exactly as I have explained it. I am keeping one little bit as a secret, because if I reveal it, the scumtell won't work. If you all want me to reveal it, I will, but then you lose the potential scumtell, and then for sure, you better lynch or vig me because there will be no potential for me to do anything at all in the game.
As for the theory of setting myself up for a cushy endgame, well, it's not going to happen. You are going to have to get rid of me, for instance, if that scumtell comes up, you might choose to send me on my merry way to the electric chair in order to verify what I will then explain to you when I tell you so-and-so is scum. So... not only have I lost, but there is no way I am making it through anywhere near endgame.
One upside for the Townies (but that upside will be no longer exist from the very fact that I am pointing it out now, so that's no reason to keep me) is that so far I've been a legitimate bandwagon for the scum to jump on. I've given them a nice ride for a free, quick day 1 lynch without them looking scummy at all. How much do you want to bet they were all on it at some time or another? Haha.
So yes, in an indirect way, even if I have lost, I can still have some influence on the game. It's kinda cool, actually, when you get right down to the wire. Maybe it is the best role ever - nothing to gain, nothing to lose.Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

I'd rather vig DrippingGoofball than lynch her. If she's telling the truth, then we at least manage not to waste our lynch today. If she's lying scum, then we get a free kill. She's already said she doesn't really care how she dies, which makes this:
fairly unlikely.Shamrock wrote:-DG is some sort of post-restricted pro-town role that needs to be lynched in order to get an ability.
Meantime, I'mavote MasterChieffor some contentless posts, crying about how confused he is, and repeatedly fosing rather than voting. When I grow up, I want to be a fritzler.

There are FAR more possibilities than this, several of which have already been mentioned in this thread. Don't you ever read?Shamrock wrote:Thinking about it, here's our possibilities that I see:

umm, this is Bastard Mod mafia, you've gotta think more out of the box than that. CES's restriction is fairly normal for a NORMAL game, it's actually quite mild for this game. If you think CES's restriction is wierd or stupid, you shouldn't have signed up for this game. I would not be surprised if many people, possibly even DGB herself, have roles different from those they were told. That would be the ultimate bastard mod, imo. Tell DGB that she's already lost, but in fact she hasn't? That's what I'd do.Masterchief wrote:I wonder if she's lyncher and she's supposed to lynch herself. I think we should keep DG around. If she's telling the truth, she's neutral, and there's no need to lynch/vig her. If she's lying, then we shouldn't lynch/kill her because that's what she wants.rolandofthewhite (5:40:28 PM): It would be weird living with Thesp. All the hookers murdered and skin lying around. :(-

I don't really see how her actions fail to match her claimed role. Care to elaborate? And even if her actions don't match her claimed role, that is more of a reasonCogito Ergo Sum wrote:In conclusion, s'llabfooGgnippirD snoitca still do ton hctam her claimed elor dna she needs ot eb vigged tonight.notto get DGB vigged.unvote, vote CES.

DGB is neutral role that needs to get lynched/vigged/night-killed in order to win. (Actually, I can imagine a role like this: "You are lynch-immune and night-kill immune. You win when you have been killed, by any means, X times.")Mafia is not about who is right, mafia is about who is left.-

I actually agree with CES, after taking the time to translate, I just had to give it a little thought. I think that we will have to dispose of DGB eventually. I personally think that she is just using the crazy potentials of this game to make such a claim, in order to keep herself alive. However, if she is telling the truth it would be far better not to waste a lynch on her.
On that note. I must play devil's advocate on myself..... There are a few things to consider:
1)We don't know if we have any vigs.
2)If we do then the Vigs might have restrictions, such as you cannot vig someone who recieved votes or something like that.
3) THIS IS THE WORST. These Vigs might have hidden restrictions, like if you choose to kill someone you kill a random target instead, or the person you choose to vig instead survives and can kill someone of their choice.
All in all our night roles could be the craziest things in the world. I don't know if we should ever assume them normal or, rely on them.
I just talked myself out of it, I am keeping my vote.
I am quite paranoid now........ *remains in hole*Good Luck Everyone-

[jerkery by Thok]Mocks Masterchief on general principle. (Seriously, stop posting if you're not in the game, or I'll ask Vismaior to modkill you and to take you off the replacement list.)
(Masterchief joins the grand ranks of Spork, Polarboy, and Peacebringer. I can provide links to the relevant games if people want an excuse to point and laugh.)[/jerkery by Thok]
I'm not exactly sure what to think of DGB right now. My current leaning is that she might be a protown role with some sort of hideous disadvantage (I'm thinking of roles as bad as the Consiligere from Choose Somebody Else's Role or the Uncharismatic Cult Recruiter from Worst Role Ever). I'm not sure I'm happy with her response to my lynch/vig question.
I also feel we've been focusing too much on interactions with 1 player (and I realize that I've only posted about DGB); surely there are other things to discuss on day 1?I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.-
