when you download it it has a BUNCH of .jars, the only one I think you'll need/want is essentials.jar. It is drag/droppable with a basic default configuration setup that I think you'll like.
If you ever install any other plugin as well however, you'll want GroupManager.

Also, I was testing the setup (not in the real map, a substitute with similar boundaries), and there may be a small problem. If you go to the nether at any point (whhhhhhhyyyy?), please use the same portal to come back. There's a chance using a new portal could take you outside our world boundaries.

I know, but it's a really high-risk venture. To get brewing, you'd have to find some nether wart, AND kill some Blazes. And get back alive. Plus, the nether is limited in size too.

We have Mooshrooms! Don't shear them. Also FFS don't kill one of the last two or I will HUNT YOU DOWN AND KILL YOU AND DANCE ON YOUR GRAVE.
Also I'm recolouring the sheep, so we should have one of each colour. Then, so long as people shear them and don't kill them, we'll have infinite wool in every colour.

Wow. Just heard the 1.2.5 snapshot is available. Looks like the bukkit guys have fixed more stuff in a few weeks than Mojang have in a couple of years.
