That's embarrassing. While writing i knew there were 3 votes, after preview noticed yet another vote from Yates, and for some reason decided that 5 were needed for a lynch.

I missed that Elmo slipped that he knew which kill was which. Early elimination of a Serial Killer sits right by me.

Nope. You weren't wondering whether SK killed gorckat or whether he killed ICE, you already knew.

Actually, that doesn't confirm you as SK, as scum would know who killed who, but either way, you're confirmed scum. Town didn't know which was responsible for which.

Thanks for letting us know, by the way!

TheAm is suspicious because he was worried about a Serial Killer and wanted to hunt one.

You're

I'd like to give my opinion on things though.

I'm quite busy at the moment and forgot about mafiascum.net altogether. I'll get content up this evening, so I'd like for someone to unvote Elmo so no one can quickhammer before I have my say.

Do you remember the game name or number (or a link)? I actually might have time this week to meta him.

here is the link
4nxi3ty, i agree that theamatuer-town (in that game) looks differently then what i see in our game - more alive, proactive, and reasonable.

@Anxiety and Kortul
- do either of you have links to Town TheAm showing your basis for this meta?

Hmm, take a look at my previous post again - i asked the link from 4nxi3ty, and he gave it to me in the post i am quoting. theamatuer has a lot of games under his belt, and i wanted to see the game that 4nxi3ty was referring to in his case on theam.

Yes, I saw that. A link to a single game isn't meta that means anything at all. It's statistically insignificant and subject to all sorts of other factors (make-up of the player-based, when the game happened, etc).

I wanted to see if there was any other significant base of games Anxiety was using / that you were using when you agreed with Anxiety's statement.

you are correct MoI, a single game is not significant meta-evidence for a lynch, that is why its only a part of why I am voting him.
4nxi3ty wrote:has done nothing but jump on the biggest wagons, proddodge, and agree with the opinions of others.

this is all stuff he has done in this game to make me think he is scum.

As for your question about why all the slandaar vs. yates vs. elmo vs. you isn't important to me - all of it felt like one big 'he said she said' scenario, It went along the lines of "You so scum for X" "No U Wrong about X, U scum for being Wrong" "No U Scum" "No U". I can always go back and look at it if one of you four flips scum, but for today I would rather prioritize and get my strongest scumread lynched.

I begin to doubt in my read on you, i thought you are more attentive to details. I wasn't talking about general meta on theamatuer, and there was no need to study other games to check the statement from 4nxi3ty. The statement was:
In post 295, 4nxi3ty wrote:

he was very active and very involved in the discussion. Today he has done nothing but jump on the biggest wagons, proddodge, and agree with the opinions of others.
I checked whether i agree with his impression, and said exactly that:
In post 540, kortul wrote:4nxi3ty, i agree that theamatuer-town

looks differently then what i see in our game - more alive, proactive, and reasonable.
theamatuer

I don't have time to read all the games of theam (that's a lot), so asked him about that particular game, and his answer makes sense.

At this point I have MagnaofIllusion and Kortul as my top town reads. I really like MagnaofIllusion's play in this game: Posting reads, pointing out various details, taking a stance and making logical cases. Kortul does a similar job.

I also think Slandaar is town. I'm not terrible impressed by his arguments, but it's his playstyle this game that convinces me. I like it when people play agressively and stick their neck out. Slandaar is not afraid to take a stance and pursuit other players. He also explains what he does a lot better now than he did a week ago.

4nxi3ty still seems rather town to me, but I don't like how Theamatuer is basically the only player he's interested in. He disregards discussion about other players consistently with comments like 'Don't really see whats so important about you vs slandaar, yates vs. slandaar, or moi vs. you.' and 'what is with this sk nonsense?'
4nxi3ty, I'd like you to talk more about players in this game other than Theamatuer. We know your stance about Themamatuer, and especially when he's V/LA for a long time it would be more useful if you said more than just 'Theamatuer wagon please'.

Yates and Pine are difficult reads for me. Their posts aren't bad but I don't get the feeling that their posts are really advancing this game much. I find the Yates/Pine vs Slandaar OMGUS battle on page 17/18 very interesting although I can't find any evidence for alignment tells there. I definitely think these posts are worth revisiting frequently though.

Descent has few posts and his posts don't have much value. I'm glad he gave us a full overview of his reads in post 447 but I don't like the conclusion he draws from his reads. The game has advanced pretty far and there are numerous players that have received scutiny for their behaviour. Yet Descent refrains from using this at all and instead votes for a player he finds 'iffy' and his read is 'all over the place'. I don't like how a player that is already posting very few good content is making a vote on such a vague basis. Basically, Descent can go anywhere from here. He's not taking a stance at all.

Theamatuer's play so far does not impress me. On Day 1 he accused many players without explaining why the behaviour he accused others of was actually scummy and he never answered my questions about this. When I do a quick ISO of Theamatuer, I find that there is almost nothing that moves this game forward. I'm looking forward to Theamatuer's promised huge post, but at this moment I don't have a good opinion of him.

It seems an Elmo lynch is going to happen today. I actually think Elmo's content isn't terrible and certainly not the worst in this game, but his voting behaviour really makes him stand out to say the least and I agree that post 500 seems to be an epic failure. I don't object to an Elmo lynch today, and I like the fact that my Top3 town reads agree on this matter.

So to give a short summary of my view on the game:

Seems town

MagnaofIllusion
Kortul
Slandaar
4nxi3ty

Not sure

Pine
Yates

Suspicious

Descent
Theamatuer
Elmo

I definitely want to hear from Theamatuer before any decision to end this day is made.
