Additionally, we can stonewall until our proposal passes automatically. You can't

Honestly if this game is ever played face to face the only conclusion is a fist fight. Which is why you need massive amounts of alcohol in order pass out before said fist fighting.

Unvote

T-Bone, don't be a prick.

Also; plan :"Vote Nay on T-Bone's proposals" is a go.

I'm not being a prick. I don't think we should do majority +1.

Proposition fails I guess since no one wants to be diplomatic. Just as all future propositions will.

How about this cool phrase called "make an amendment on your turn."

Five things:

  1. Right now it's majority or unanimity. Those are the only options. The rule-change being voted on will not - cannot - be revised.
  2. JDGA's turn comes after Cybele and Feirei, and he supports a supermajority rule. That's three turns from now, not nine.
  3. As I have said repeatedly, it will be a lot easier to go from simple majority to supermajority rule than from unanimity to supermajority, as you yourself are demonstrating.
  4. It's a lot easier to get your rule-changes passed if you
    don't
piss off 87% of the playlist.
  5. This is a game.
If it comes down to a choice between beating my head against a brick wall or invoking Rule 113 and moving on with my life, I doubt I'll be the only one quitting.
advice from a trans otherkin queer plural system: you don't have to accept what normal says it's possible for you to be.

Well if the playerlist is going to hold a grudge because I want discussion, then I guess there shall be a lot of grandstanding from me. I don't see any discussion from any one, I just see a bunch of empty threats, which frankly I don't care about.

I know we're voting on simple majority, and I don't want simple majority, I want a supermajority. This proposal does not accomplish what I want. You're supposed to convince me, because right now we need unanimity to make any changes what-so-ever.

Dear T-Bone,

I understand your point. You just want your rule passed. I'd like to take the time today to point out a few things:

  1. Currently, this proposal cannot be amended.
  2. Currently, you are the only one holding up passage of this proposal. We're all pissed as a result. It is not easy to get people who are pissed at you to pass your proposals.
  3. If you want to stonewall, that's fine, but by the rules, the rule becomes plain majority in two cycles if we don't touch it. So really, you can't do this forever.
  4. It is easier to pass future proposals via a simple majority, and others have expressed support of the idea. Wouldn't you like it to be easier to pass your proposal?

The main point is this: you're going to lose this battle, one way or another. If you don't want to lose the war, I suggest you vote Yea. Otherwise, we Operation Cuba on your ass and you never pass anything ever.

Your call.

XOXO,

Xalxe

I don't intend to propose the supermajority rule change. I just completely disagree with the simple majority rule. Why should I put it in place if I think it's wrong?

Well, considering that we've all agreed to propose the same rule and vote Yea on it, it really depends on you.

I can wait. Two cycles is a long time... I'd rather this get struckdown and we open dialogue for a supermajority rule for the person who goes next. It really doesn't depend on me. It depends on getting a better draft of this rule. I'm flexible on the percentages or whatever it takes.

My vote can be bought.
