Uhm, where is there any indication of a serial killer?
fos:id

As to the writing up, there appears to be two types, one that randomly writes people up and then the other who needs a reason (i.e. a night-choice target) to write them up.

that makes me think that the people written up for a reason were written up by mafia, as random seems like town

Um, I'm kinda lost, didn't we already establish in the past that all writing up can only be done on people with night choices, even if it is random. I think it was mathcam who was written up by a person who claimed it and did not actually get a tour, because he has no night role (or am I wrong)

That's confusing...anyway we need some real conversation here...I still think the security guard theory is viable

Prizm's roleblocker ability was confirmed as sound and also confirmed as needing a night ability to write someone up.
So far the people who have been written up are:
mathcam
someone
werebear
Leonidas
CD
blackhawk
Now then, if all of them have a night choice, then there aren't blockers who don't need to have a reason to give out a warning. Also, there wasn't a kill on night three, which would correspond with Werebear and Leo. Of course, this is only relevant if the mafia is blocked if one of them are and if the dos (s?) did not protect the mafia's target, so I find it to be quite a stretch to apply this to likelihood of mafianess of Werebear and Leonidas.

good idea, tigris. I was just thinking, for indentureddjinn, since he is already written up for tonight, he won't be able to use his ability, so if he is the last member (assuming there's only 4 mafia), he won't be able to kill tonight.

unvote: djinn

fos: werebear and leonidas
maybe when mafia is written up they can only perform pseudo-kills (i.e. drugging blackhawk)?

It seems pretty unlikely, but it could be true. If it's possible, I would ask the pro-town writer-upper to write either werebear or leo up, just to test our theory.

Well, that could explain the discussion on day one. I believe Dementia Blader was the first one to mention a reason for writing someone up.

That would be me.

I think we need more discussion before voting, but the theory about Werebear/Leonidas might help us. When rereading the thread, I noticed these are the only two together with Stewie who keep very low. I couldn't find anything usefull about them to put in my spreadsheet, which is very weird considering that we lynched scum every day.

Hmmm, it's a bit hard to have a good discussion IMO because so many people are inactive here.
I think i'll look back through the thread and see if I can find anything.

Agreed, there are still 20 people left alive. Combining that with the long night and we don't have much going on unfortunately. Plus looking at the list, I can see a few people that will likely need to be replaced, so there's that as well. :?

I think we're missing a big picture here, and this big picture is that the write-ups are much bigger than one role. I think there are several ways people can be written up...some for being targeted by certain roles, some for not following some protocol, etc. Not to say we shouldn't think about these things, but we don't know enough about this game to base any conclusions on our wild speculation of the game mechanics.

I'll spend some thinking about who falls in the suspicious people category.

I've never found voting for people who are likely going to be replaced all that effective of a method, but to each their own.

Basically, looking over the list, there looks to be 4+ people that will need replacing, combine that with 6 dead and 19 alive on a day 4.

While we don't know enough about the mehanics of the game, but until someone actually posts something worthwhile to talk about, personally, I will continue to talk about them. Essentially, the way that I see prizm's role is a combination role-blocker/cop, but with the flaw that they wouldn't necessarily know if the one they block the following night is good or evil. However, his death does give us a slight bit more information. He was never blocked/written-up; therefore, if you have a role-block/cop combination role and you attempted to write him up, then there is the distinct possibility that his rank or your sanity has something to do with the writing up, if you are lower rank I would think your chance of being naive drops, higher rank and it increases. The ranks have to have some significance, we just don't know what yet, but there is a slight amount of information that certain people may be able to use to discern what that purpose is.

Well, I pretty much agree. At the time I voted, he wasn't about to be replaced. (Well, he kind of was, having not posted for probably a month or so...but that didn't stop the mod from giving him 48 hours). Nothing motivates a mod to replace a totally inactive player than a bunch of votes.
