Newbie 1252: The Other Game Town Wins!

Ok. im honestely not sure what the case against me is in general, however, @maffy

1. Im scum because i did something scum wouldn't do????? I did what I thought best for the town, and I think Robo is scum.

2. He asked me. I'm replying to him because he asked me my thoughts about them.

I skimmed most of the Majiffy/Robo walls and suspect I'm a better person for it. We're not lynching either today.

Now that he's at L-1 could someone remind me what the Hoss case is, as I sit here I can't even recall it which makes me suspect it was a little ephemeral as I'd have recalled it if it was brilliant or incredibly stupid.

I didn't intend to lynch him. I'm just confused and more recently frustrated that he started to just call me stupid over and over.

My reasons for voting Hossaim are as follows.

1. He asked a different person than himself to hammer.
2. He claimed that RXK had scumslipped when RXK clearly did not.
3. He did #1 and #2 at the same time.

Him believing that RXK had scumslipped means that he believed without a doubt that RXK had genuinely claimed scum. If someone genuinely claims scum, then the initial reaction ought be, "I'm going to kill you now." Not, "Someone please kill him now."

Been upgrading and customizing my PC for the past few days, now runs a windows based Linux VOS. Anyway, my thoughts.

I'm really flopy on Robo. He has just had these moments where I really don't know about him, and these other moments where hes more town. He seems to be trying to hard to look like he is scumhunting while not actually scumhunting, and hes done these frankly idiotic things, like the selfvote, but the rest of the time he seems pro town. These could just be townie mistakes or mafia mistakes, but the fact is they are mistakes. Mistakes are not good, and do nothing but hurt the town. He's been 90% town in my opinion, but to me these slips or fake slips are doing nothing but hurting the town they really can't continue. It's like he changes my read completely with each post, each saying something completely different or contradictory to another. Sometimes he seems lazy, sometimes going over the top, sometimes genuine town helping, sometime upfront slips. It really bothers me and it's stop the town from progressing.

I'd forgotten the 'ask someone to hammer' thing. That's actually not terrible as a Day 1 case and reminds me why I wasn't calling it terrible even though I suspect he'll flip town. You've never seen newb town do that?

More recently though, the second quote was simply like a direct copy of what everybody else said. He's riding on others. And I will not have scum riding.

Also, do you see nothing wrong with Majiffy's play? Do you notice the sudden change in playstyle? Am I honestly the only one seeing this?

I consider it a reversion to form, which seems less scummy than a change. He was playing unusually prior to this with his IC wuss tactic play.

I can see how scum would find something like that useful, actually. Also, does everyone usually have a read on everyone at this point? I have reads on some but not others.

We have a ton of experienced players in this game; if the scum is experienced, they'll know which players are the most pro-town/which players people read as town and kill them anyway. If the scum is noob, they'll kill the experienced players. This isn't an exact science, but games tend to follow that trend. I'm more interested in being able to determine Robo's alignment and how helpful he's really willing to be with town by offering his reads and reasonings why (information is

the

biggest asset town gains as time progresses).

No it doesn't. Scumhunting is the process of finding scum. There isn't anything regarding the amount you are attempting to catch at once. The actual possibility of me nailing both scum on Day One is ridiculous(Though I have done it. However it was total luck.)

Well no duh, but you are wrong in the fact that it has to be townlike players. I have multiple nulls that are leaning town. If I think they are null, I think they aren't really scummy and probably not scum. But they haven't done anything to prove they are town.
