I will not be angry about this prospect arising since I had no rule about it in my OP. In the future, however, I will include a rule about not breaking game setups when I am Modding. Mainly to preserve the normal style of play I like to participate in as a player, but also because it does make things easier/more enjoyable for everybody. I see "breaking the game" as a means to an end: "breaking the game" is just a way to circumvent "normal" MafiaScum play and still win, since whichever faction adapts better to the game being broken will usually win. (Normally, of course, this weighs heavily in advantage of the Town.) This has nothing to do with analysis of play (e.g. "scumhunting") or any of the other "normal" aspects of the game, thus I don't appreciate this tactic being used in play here.

Consider this a friendly warning, with all due respect, that any further blatant attempts to break the setup of this game will result in being immediately Melted (Modkilled). I apologize if this ruins this game for any of you; you are welcome to PM me and request replacement if this is the case. No hard feelings will be held against any who choose to do this. Please return to normal gameplay now...

Breaking games leads to better development of games, and encourages change and fixes balance issues. Its also one of the main interests I had in joining this game.

Ill play anyway, but not happy Jan. It's like asking someone to limit the strength of their play and thus impedes on the gamestate.

Barring the fact that your opinion is based on a differing interpretation of MafiaScum policy and tactics, I guess I do see your viewpoint. If you would like to assess the level of approval you have for "breaking the setup" in this game, you are free to do so and there will be no Mod action taken against you. I would, however, ask that you not push the prospect if it becomes unpopular, and I would like this issue to be resolved soon. (As in, before Night 1.) If, at that point, there is sufficient support for breaking the setup of the game, so be it. If it is not popular when Day 1 ends, please disregard that means to an end for the duration of the game.

I would like to stop talking now, as I feel I am imposing too much of my opinions on this game. Please move forward with this compromise in mind.

I have given you the option of replacing out if you don't like the idea of the Mod doing what he wants to make the game as enjoyable as he thinks it can be. Please read my second reply carefully - any and all aspects of "breaking the setup" are available for you to use without Mod action being taken against you. I was probably more hasty than necessary in my first reply, the second reply clearly states that you have every right to assess the approval of any of the tactics you wish to try. If these are popular or unpopular remains for the playerlist to decide, I leave it in their hands and I apologize if I am being overly involved in the gameplay process you wish to conduct...though it is my game.

I don't wish to get in an all-out argument in my first modded game. I am still attempting to form my own interpretation of "breaking the setup" and I would agree that it is a very fluid definition. That is why I am allowing you and the rest of playerlist to decide what "game-breaking" policies should or should not be implemented in this game.

At the start of Night 1, I will assess whether or not your policies are popular enough in the playerlist. If they are not, any further attempts to ply players into following any "game-breaking" policies will get you Modkilled. If they are popular enough and/or have already been instituted I will allow them without any further Mod interaction. Please do not attempt to draw me in to any more discussion of this, I feel bad enough already for taking time away from the game by discussing this topic.

for permission to re-randomize the roles and restart the game. He has given his permission. This question is to the entire playerlist, but mainly the two players who have already asked to replace out:

Would you wish to continue in this game, pending restart, or shall I search for replacements?

IMPORTANT NOTE: I realize now it was not my place to interfere in the way the players choose to play in the game and I will not do so if the game is restarted. I accept full responsibility for the turn of events in this game and I apologize to all players. Again, no hard feelings will be held by me if you choose to replace out when a game restart is instituted.
