I got a "not malicious" (paraphrased) on M-M. I thought he had a good chance of turning up scum after I read this last night:

Damane ("leashed one") are women who can channel and are controlled by use of an a'dam. Women who can channel but who have not yet been made damane are called marath'damane

So technically the one who collars is NOT the marath'damane, the one who GETS collared is. Either our mod made a mistake or something weird is going on.

Since I'm thinking there is probably a Black Ajah gallivanting about, my first thought is that there

might

be a third scum mason. There is no guarantee of innocence in the Masonry, so they are by no means "confirmed" in any way. This is enough to move them back down into the "Down the Line" category. Whatever scum is left, they are well-hidden.

I'm thinking attrition is the way to go. Lynch one, Vig another, investigate the third, while Anonymities randomly protects one of MrBuddyLee or myself. We should be able to outrace the scum with this strategy.

I'd agree with attrition. It seems like someone is hiding secrets from us in all the protown-like claims yesterday. It may very well be mod giving people safe claims.

I am not that familiar with WoT, and my role PM said I'm marath'damane, so the mod could have made an mistake.

I collared Lordy last night to check his claim and he looks to be telling the truth. And I was very surprised about Lordy's disappearance, but I didn't have anything to do with it.

Intriguing.

Spamwise was always a suspect in my book, obviously, which was what drove me to reveal everything I knew in the first place. Three scum masons does seem like a lot (which was why I was okay with PJ listing him as likely town), but we definitely shouldn't discount the possibility, especially at this point. The White Tower was chaulk full of darkfriends in the books, as far as I recall, so who knows - maybe it's realistic.

Attrition is probably the best play here, I'm with it. However, keep in mind that I'm still collared by M-M: if I had any night actions, I wouldn't be in control of them anymore.

To reiterate/sum up: Attrition sounds good, but I'm a waste of a kill because M-M controls my night actions. Everything I know about Spamwise's role in the masonry has already been stated, so no need to wait up for me.

That first statement is odd coming from someone with no night actions.

I tried to collar Lordy last night.

M-M, can you keep more than one person collared at a time?

If you successfully collar, say, Fritzler tonight, what happens to Illumina?

Did the mod tell you Illumina's role or did she? Do you have any indication of her alignment? How do you know what night actions you can or can't perform with her?

What was the result you got back from the mod when you tried to collar lordy?

M-M, do you get to talk to Spamwise at night now?

Illumina, do you get to talk at night with Spamwise?

Illumina, what did the mod tell you when you were collared about your current and future ability to perform your night actions?

Spamwise, were you told about anything related to a change in your mason partner?

And why are people not very curious about all this?

My only night ability as a mason is the abiliy to communicate with other masons, plus being collared I do have a night action via M-M. (I do have a night action, technically)

Since I outed myself I haven't communicated with Spamwise, and I don't know if it's disabled or not. I presume it is, based on the PM from the mod: it stated that M-M has total control over me at night, as my mind is dominated by the collar. It seemed very clear, so I didn't ask for clarification.
