You have some alternate explanation for this?

Dissonance, you say? You do understand that time passes, right? You looked suspicious THEN. He looks suspicious NOW. How is that complicated?

TAM, no one ever said anything about policy lynching you.

That being said, i think TAM is town. I think Pasch is town. I think TheReverend is town. I'm not as sure about RC or Doublej, but i'm thinking that for the most part, scum haven't made their presence yet.

there wasn't anything particularly bad about it.

usually i feel slight apprehensive about people using "LOL" as a reaction, as it seems a bit nervous, but in this case, it
was
kind of funny that i talked about him avoiding the thread, only to have him post a huge wall a minute later.

when i played with him as scum, he was much more defensive, which i didn't see here.

My don't buy was in reference to Eido saying that his reaction was okay.

As I said earlier, there's several voices who have yet to speak up. I agree that we shouldn't jump to conclusions.

Just realized they are ongoing. So, I'll answer theoretically. Let's say player X is town doesn't believe player Y is mafia and defends player Y to the death, and also let's say player Y is in fact mafia, that would make player X look really suspicious. So, even if he doesn't think that player is mafia, still a better shot to go with what the others want and blend in.

Another example, if Player X is town and wants to lynch a certain player but that player is also town, and player X is wrong and the rest of the town don't buy his case, that will just lead to massive frustration.

I understand that to an extent but on the other side of the coin how else are we going to motivate discussion and find the bad guys if we all sit back and try and blend in?

Plus in the second example town lynching town happens pretty often. It can be frustrating but at the same time we can then go back and look at interactions. I bet you if you looked through 50 or so old games, a fair few people who try to blend in and avoid getting in fights, raising suspicion, going with the flow etc are mafia.

I am not saying that we should all blend in. Some players are better suited to lead the town based on their skill. Also, it would be interesting to note who would post the most analysis and try to persuade others to vote for their scumreads.

In any case, here is the reason I think Pasch is scum:

Let's look at . He attacks TAM, yet votes for me for "wagon hopping" and "joining a wagon I don't buy". However, the second part is not even true. I never said I don't buy TAM's wagon. I said that I don't buy that his response necessarily means town like Eido did. Coming to "wagon hopping", why is there scum motivation behind this? I initially voted FourTrouble (random) and then voted TAM (semi-random). Would Pasch have me stick my vote on my RVS target the whole day?

EST, and about once a day. The other three questions will only generate noise.

What about his reaction didn't you like? That post felt forced to me. If I wasn't already voting for him, this is where I would.

The Acting Method wrote:
Though I'm shocked that so many of you basically went "Let's lynch him without giving him a chance to respond." That's not good play gents... And risky too.

What do you think about the people on your wagon?

Paschendale's vote on rapidcanyon after his attack on TAM feels off to me, and his unvote later on feels scummy as well. Why unvote because it seems like no one believes in the wagons anymore? UNVOTE: VOTE: Paschendale

TAM's response to the wagon is somewhat of an overreaction, but he seems frustrated with Reverend rather than like scum floundering at the sight of a wagon, so I don't have a read on him based on that.

Pacific,
I'm posting through phone and iPod (no cpu right now) so I'm not the most active by any means but I'll try to give some good inputs when possible and when I'm not working.
Been playing plenty of in person and other forum games (smaller forum). This is my 3rd MS game
Not to keen on lynching the lurkers, and I haven't dealt with the "lynching a liar" situation so i wouldn't know.
I'm impartial as to which side I prefer. I just play to win for whichever side I'm on.

In post 17, Code_X wrote:Hi all.

1. What time zone are you in? - GMT though work nights so I tend to post at random times during the day/night.
2. How often do you expect to be on and posting? - Hopefully daily in the week. Weekends less likely. I have a life after all ... "just"
3. How many games have you played in? - I don't count perhaps 20 under this name, 20 under another. I'm still not very good though.
4. What is your opinion on Lynch all Lurkers/Liars? - Liars needs lynching. Lurkers - need prodding to post but sometimes things come up so lurking isn't a tell either way unless you know someone is a lot more active as town and lurks as scum.
5. What side do you prefer playing as? - Town

VOTE: Triangle

Code is town. Even though this is a partial RV I assume. Triangle was a werewolf in the last game I played with Code and Triangle, I see this as a baited vote / skeptic vote.

Thoughts please.

Pasch, I don't believe these wagons were or are RVS, and I most certainly think scum is on them if you haven't noticed.

I was one of the first people to confirm my role.

MY vote right now is being used to get someone to talk... It's not risky to VOTE someone... It's risky to Policy lynch bandwagon them. There's a difference.

And My specific objection was that it essentially (my wagon at least) was a policy lynch bandwagon.
