I'm confused. Science seems like the lamest setup ever, but people signed up for it like wildfire. Is this some sort of self-flagellation cult or is there something actually good about the setup?

Its a really really good setup. Very basic in nature but it heavily lend itself to interactions and ability to utilize daytalk mechanics. The better faction will probably win and there is little to no chance of massive swing damaging that fact.

AKA, more scumhunting, less role-dynamics.
AKA, analysis over information.

When you see RBD, CES, and Equinox sign up for a small game, you get in that small game.
Tierce and VM just makes it that much better.

Stop giving me fuzzies, Robo. I just joined because the playerlist is too good to NOT play with.

Also keep an eye for setup review requests.
I prefer to have both. I want my power roles to have
power
of some kind, but I also like to scumhunt and, alternatively, deceive. I like setups like the newbie games usually have-- there are one or two PRs, but you can't really rely on them wholly; you have to think for yourself sometimes, too.
