PeregrineV is in this game, which I am still annoyed about (wisdom of the mod my ass).

Salamance20 claims scum about 300% too often for comfort, but is still less annoying than the above.


That's seriously the list of people I have an actual problem with.

You I have a problem with because the last iteration of this game had ZERO vanilla roles on the town side, yet TWO scum claimed non-vanilla because of the difficulty of mimicking town behavior and the necessity of actually wasting your money on purchasing town things if you wanted to look town. You claimed a miller role with no money. You see why this looks like the perfect scum fakeclaim, yes?

I don't actually think I'm that great. I don't think I'm a VI but I certainly don't think I'm a master player or anything. I use it to get people to listen to me, and it works, but that's very different than me actually believing it myself.

Like, people sheep me a lot, which helps me get shit done. So I use it. Whether it's because people think I'm a good player of because they follow my cases on people idk.

GreyICE, your Post 372 is about the gist of my suggestion though I'm not quite sure if we need to go into quite so much detail as investigative roles / defensive roles / killing roles as it's better to leave scum guessing on who holds those at the moment, willing to hear counterpoints to that but at bare minimum we should have players split into categories so that only one specific person is bidding on oracle and say two to three specific people are bidding on negative utility items.

Advertising isn't even partially useful unless we have oracle and the abilities from the next night already revealed otherwise it's possible to waste an advertisement on something that would already have been up for auction if I'm understanding it correctly. Something to be discussed tomorrow or later in the game anyway.

We're both heading to bed now (Despite being at opposing sides of the world somehow), please don't quick-lynch, there's still a lot to get done today.

IMO, Seanald's wagon is really love/hate. Some are convinced he is scum, and some that he is town. I don't quite see what's wrong with him, like many others.

Oh, and the first part of 281 is about me. Made a numbering error.

BBMolla's claim: Way too early. From past experience, early miller claims came when a player was L-1 from an RVS wagon, even though the player in that game was scum. It's either scum playing it safe or a genuine town claim, probably the former. IMO, a town miller should claim towards the end of the day, not in the first post of it.

BBMolla's Dayvig claim: Probably not real. If it doesn't go through, I think he's next to go down.

Now, this is a few people I've played with or who played in the game I modded:
Guille: Same as previous game, where both of us were town.
Phillammon: Much more content than previous game, where both of us were town. (Same game as Guille, ended June)
Eidolon: Much less posting than the game where he was town enough to get daykilled by scum. (Open 444, ended September)

I was really busy, running around, serving tea and crumpets. All the shouting seemed out of place, and some of it seemed so...mean...but that's not what I was paid to care about. I was paid to care that people had their snacks and drinks and weren't distracted from their work, and right now their work was in finding the murderers.

The shouting was getting particularly intense, and I had just realized that I had run out of coffee and not yet put another pot on, when the gunshot ran out. All the shouting stopped immediately (thank goodness) and finally a quiet hush descended on everything.

I led a roll call as to determine if anyone had been hurt, but gave it up halfway through when MagnaofIllusion slumped out of his Aeron chair to splay on the floor. Looks like his "Ruining Tokyo, Inc." business wasn't going to take off after all.

It was quickly determined after that that he didn't think it was going to take off either, because there were several letters (which perhaps should not have been carried around on his person so they could be found so easily) welcoming him to an evil organization bent on...well, certainly something malicious, it was a little blood soaked by that point.

I cleared my throat.

"You know, when I said we had to find the murderers, I meant so that we could turn them over to the police, not this..." I waved my hand in the direction of MagnaofIllusion's corpse.

"But..."

"Well, this seems to work too."
