Actually, have we tested whether 1.4.2 clients work with 1.4.4 servers/vice versa? I know the 1.3.x updates were compatible, 1.3.2 was so horrible I never updated.
(Mostly) on hiatus until further notice. Planet MafiaScum 2 will be modded by Inspi and JDGA - go check it out!

If you mean the cactus thing, that was quite possibly me, I logged there earlier.

He means the original Gauntlet, which is run out of his basement.
The server Gauntlet is up, by the way, should anybody want to try it.

We're looking into a dedicated server so any suggestions would be great, PM me.
