Pre-game, along with alignments and specific roles, a random Biome will be designated as the starting point for the game. The Biome and one or two specific changes it implements will be included in the "Sunrise Report".

Spoiler: Biomes

There are 6 possibilities for the Biome in which the game takes place in any given Day phase, and this may change every Night or it may never change. The possible Biomes are Forest, Desert, Tundra, Ocean, Extreme Hills, and a sixth secret Biome. Each has its advantages and disadvantages, which may or may not be obvious given knowledge of thematic material. Basic differences between Biomes include 1) resources available to players for gathering, 2) which Town- and Scum-aligned Power Roles' abilities are active, and 3) NightKill and VoteCount flavoring.

Players may post three times per Day phase in-thread in the format

GATHER: Resource

to attempt to gather a predetermined amount of a specific resource, if it is available within the current Biome. The resource-gathering comes into play when Night falls as well, when players will be sent a "Sunset Report" telling them which resources (if any) they chose to gather the previous Day phase are useful and which are not. Not much else will be explained WRT this mechanic, as it is extremely important to the gameplay.

Need to determine what normal players can use, what admins can use as a player (without having to explain it's usage), what admins can use to do adminy stuff, like helping other players/competitions for server/etc, and what are just no-no's except for in extenuating circumstances and require being /op'd

My suggestions:

Normal Players: /home, /warp <warpname>
What OP can normally use as players: Any transportation command (Fly, TP, tppos, top, jump, etc), /inspect
What Admins can use to do Adminy stuff/special cases/contests: All commands, except WorldEdit.
Also, I don't really think that we need World edit. That would go into the "very rare circunstance" maybe.

Reasoning: We should have an experience as close as vanilla as possible. Warps are grandfathered in because we have already used them to colonize far away places. Flying and Teleporting should be perks for OPs, but other than that they should play by the same rules as regular players. Still, there are exception for every rule, so all commands should be "available", just in case. Also, editing large parts of the world at once via WE is not really what the server is about, in my PoV.

worldedit is only installed for the usability of Snapshots. You know rolebacks? worldedit does selction-based rolebacks. so like when chesskid griefed, we could've jsut rolled back JUST the town, rather than the whole game.

I have to withdraw from the event. I'll probably be too busy on this weekend...

Also, players should have /home AND /home bed. (That's what we currently have in place, if I lost my home or my home bed, I'd be very unhappy. )

P.S. @Claus/OP's: would it be alright for the winning team (and their amazing Mod) to get an on-server prize after the game is completed?

@Klaz: I think we figured out that "/home bed" is a function of Essentials or Bukkit itself. I do wish to keep it though.

I don't really consider myself to be an OP anymore, but I think it would be more appropriate to build a monument for the winners on the server instead

I think CoreProtect also offer some rollback commands, no? If I'm not mistaken, you can do an area-based rollback, or even a player-based rollback.
