Certain games have been approved.
Anyone who has been missed, please re apply.

We will probably wait a while for the approved games to fill up/start before starting any new ones.

If you've applied and not specified a reviewer and/or a backup, please do so.

Through biological enzymes that facilitate the growth of new neural path ways, skills can be learned instantly. Biomechanical implants allow for everyone to have anything. However, due to this additional avalibilty of technology, global crime syndicates have benefitted. However, the means of combatting these groups through mob justice have also been aided in the same way. Just in case, here's the setup again:

Over the past few weeks, mafias have been popping up all over. In cities across the countryside: from idle Vallensburg to the larger Garren’s Creek, towns across the country have had mafias formed by angry citizens. Some succeeded, and some failed. The largest attacks seemed to take place at Turroville and Townelle, moderately large towns located in the southern fields. Luckily, both failed (well, Townelle did fall to a ‘Duo Killer’ faction, but that’s not really a mafia).

Now, our attention shifts to the proud city of Capitalismo. The capital city, it’s a shining city overlooking everything else, with large buildings, happy people, and amazing leadership, under the head of Governor Scott Zelchmen. Everything seems fine. At least, it was, until the governor held an emergency meeting.

“Citizens of Capitalismo, today I have shocking news. I have received word from that the towns of Turroville and Townelle have both been hit by mafias. I also suspect that the mafia may strike here next.

Whether or not these attacks are related is not our concern. What is, however, is that measures be taken to prevent such a disaster here. A messenger from the countryside, however, has a plan. To avoid being put on the mafia’s hit list, his identity will not be revealed.”

The messenger then took the podium. He was greeted with cheers from the audience.

“Thank you, citizens of Capitalismo. According to my research, the people of Townelle used a lynching system to resolve the problem. While that may seem barbaric, according to my papers here, the same was done at Turroville with excellent results. So, what I’m saying is, we should try it here.”

“I’m not so sure,” said the mayor, “I was thinking more of trying...”

“Do you want everyone here to die, or not?” asked the stranger, “The mafia is smart, cunning, sneaky, cruel, and will use every trick in the book to achieve victory. To prevent us from being screwed over, we’ll can your investigative method and try lynching. OK?”

“I’ve brought with me this computerized device,” the stranger said, showing a fancy gizmo. “This device will be able to detect if any of us says ‘Vote: Person.” When the alarm goes off, whoever’s name is on the screen gets lynched. Obviously, the alarm goes off when majority is reached.”

“Still,” said the governor, “this crude system is far below the ethics of-“

“Screw ethics!” shouted someone from the crowd, “We want blood! If the mafia thinks they can just come in here and kill innocents, they can think again!”

“Precisely what I was thinking,” said the messenger. “If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to do some more research on the history of such occurrences.”

The mayor, outmatched by the arguments of the people, was forced to go with the lynching method. They began to charge up the batteries of the vote count device just in case.

-----------------
Arriving at his hotel room, the messenger hung up his coat, before turning and seeing two people standing right behind him.

Both of them had guns, but besides looking like they just got out of the hospital, looked oddly familiar. However, they didn’t fire the guns. They instead identified the stranger and holstered their weapons.

“So,” asked one of them, “how’d it go?”

“Hook, line, and sinker,” the messenger replied, “give someone some device to make something easier, and they’ll probably do what you want.”

“It’s getting dark,” said the other stranger, “we’d better get out there. Who do you think we need to take out first?”

“I don’t know. But no matter what, this is going to be freaking hilarious.”

Thanks, Phoebus! Unfortunately, I am overwhelmed both in real life and mafia games right now, so I will hold off on modding that game until I know I will be dedicate the time necessary to modding it. Please keep in the wings, though, and I'll be sending you an identical PM.

I'm a little confused. I'd like to mod a large theme game - I have many games experience and modding experience one game here (plus a half of a game on magicdeckvortex). Do I just start the thread or do I need to wait somewhere?

You may not apply to this list until you have modded two of one kind or one of each kind of the following games:

approved open setups (follow kelly's link from the last thread you started)
mini regular game

If you have experience modding games on another website, PM me the links.
they will be forwarded to mith and then it will be decided whether you can bypass the modding reqs.

until then, please sign up for the queue for mini regular or open games.

Name:
Ghost Mafia
Mod:
Pariah
Co-Mod:
PetroleumJelly

Flavor:
You all originally came to catch a psychopath, on a raging rampage, killing local townsfolk.

It became something far worse than a simple man-hunt.

When you and your fellow companions entered the gate into the abanadoned house where the Psychopath was rumored to hide out, it slammed shut byself, and became locked.

From that moment, you knew something had gone horribly wrong.

Players:
20

Experience:

* Mini 362 - Open Role Bastard Mafia (Themed)
* Mostly Offsite; Around 20 Or So Games

I believe no one else has a theme like this; although if I missed someone, my apologies. I was under the impression it was the people in the second post.

Links sent.

Side note: I have hosted games involving a "Ghost Mafia" theme before offsite, and the flavor for that blurb is taken directly from one of those games, but this game will be using an entirely different set up and is not a rehost of a game on another site.

Thank you.

One question though; I was going over the design file and I made some changes, and the theme name "Ghost" doesn't really fit well anymore. (I basically tinkered with flavor.) Is it all right if I call it something different and rework the flavor thing I posted before? The new theme would be called "Meadow of Sorrow Mafia" and the opening flavor is being messed with still. (It's still like "supernatrual stuff is going down in here!")

EDIT:

Game: Meadow of Sorrow
Flavor: The mines…they came from the mines. Why did they dig in the mines? Oh God, why?

The foreman…always having them dig and dig for that gold, to places man was never meant to go. There was nothing wrong with the meadows…the meadows of sorrow. Then, they drilled too deep…they dug themselves a hole straight into Hell, where the only rocks you’ll find are molten. They were never seen alive again, those miners. The devil spit their charred corpses out into the meadow each morning, one by one, on the defiled decaying ground.

The mining community came next, after the foreman couldn’t get anyone to dig anymore. People could be heard screaming in their sleep, but their beds and homes would be empty…just the pitter patter, pitter patter of the endless yelling, growing softer and softer each second until the morning.

And they would be there.

In the meadow.

The meadow of sorrow.

Same game, retooled flavor. (Didn't like it, in retrospect.)

Sorry for the inconvience.
