Soooo enchanted books and fireworks both seem to be borked in multiplayer. Books eat the levels but don't get the enchants, fireworks make noise but don't appear visually.

You have to make the firework right- with a firework star. I put on a mini display for Davroe and kc, and it worked perfectly.

I can't speak for enchanted books

Lockette is broken.

I've tried it both with manually made fireworks and the presets in TMI. Neither worked.

And the books are fine in single player, I'll try again later.

If Lockette is indeed screwed, is there any chance we could switch to a plugin that doesn't use signs? It looks much neater. I think there's one where you type a command then punch the chest, which is much better IMO.

Yes we have that on another server, I believe it is a bukkit plugin. It could also be used to protect Furnaces

I thought we were just passively monitoring chests to catch griefers and not implementing stupid lock plugins

It's changing to a better, less intrusive system. It uses commands rather than signs.

lockette is less intrusive, you can clearly see who all has acess with knowing little to nothing about lockette

with LWC you have to extensively know its command structure in order to know who ahs access to a chest.

IC... were people actually using this? I don't ever remember coming across a locked chest but looking back through the thread from when it was implemented in october I guess I haven't actually been around to anyone's houses since then.

Do we need a locking plugin? I mean, the policy is no stealing stuff, and we have a passive plugin to see who takes things from chests in the cases where something goes missing. Its really disappointing to come across locked things. I remember that as one of the reasons I couldn't really get into maru's first server, because I couldn't even explore anything ppl built because everything was permission locked. Not to mention I don't see myself ever bothering to learn these commands and lock things. I have chests all over the place and I'm sure others have way more than me. I would hope I can rely on the "no stealing" policy and the fact that chests are passively monitored, and not have a policy of "lock your shit if you don't want it stolen."
