I've checked up on Crystal Chests: apparently with 1.4.6 and the introduction of 3D Item Rendering, the Crystal Chest rendering is now extremely buggy. I think the only one this currently applies to is Klaz, but until further notice please don't use Crystal Chests. This should solve the issue. I will be on to supply Diamond Chests as replacements for the next 10 minutes or so, then I'll be back in about an hour.

I already am. I solved the problem in-game by OptiFining my settings down into "Everything Off" and I'm still only getting 40 FPS. Obviously the issue was not fixed with a simple Sapling. I advise the effected people to hold out until I'm back in about an hour, at that point I'll replace all of your Crystal Chests with Diamond ones. As I said they seem to cause huge FPS and Memory drains that crash clients (especially in groups). Sorry, but we can't use them.

EDIT: Yup, that's exactly what we have to do.

Okay lessons learned. No more crystal chest.

You know, Maru and I experienced the same lag after he set off a nuke. I think it was because all those entities floating around, because once they despawned the lag went away. So with the crystal chests, every entity in the chests were out all occupying one block at the same time.

Lets show off the tower from the outside and inside. This is a naturally occurring structure in the Twilight Forest (FTB server).




The second picture is around half of the lower tower in the first picture.


This tower is home to me, t-bone, and Davroe.
